Checkers — Restaurant in Pembroke Park

This review is gonna look like the owner sent me.im here to say I dont no owner or not getting paid to do this review. I just do alot of reviews and tell it how I see it. I probably should get paid for this.it took several tries to finally get review finished its touchy. So i'm not a frequent flier at checkers so I check reviews it's down middle some happy some not..so one guy said bacon burger not enough bacon fries terrible chicken combo was dry.ordered large got small drink..and said night staff was rude.so I had to try these things that say was bad.I ordered chicken tender and bacon combo.large. chicken tenders where realy good but ya eat them before the get cold and dry..like any food..my bacon burger was great plenty bacon.fries on point. I got large combo they gave me correct size drink.last but not least I'm observing staff.young lady at window was very friendly.made sure I got my sauce the guy when I ordered had patience because I ordered tenders they didn't have any I didn't hear him say that so I kept ordering them he was patiently telling over and over.so after reading some bad reviews I reviewed them myself got all the good one guy complain about was looking at staff attitude and for me there was not one bad thing I can say about this checkers I get threw drive threw fast staff was very nice food was great..so big turn around from last review guy..but sometime if you piss someone off fir getting a small drink and ordered large they say everything sucked..I say GREAT EXPERIENCE FOOD, STAFF, ID GO BACK..MATTER OF FACT ONE MILE FROM MY PLACE I...

Foodies, They tried to rip me off last night. I ordered the pick two (chili dog and fish sandwich) made it a meal for an extra $3 then added the T-pain $5 meal deal and a apple pie. Without taxes added total should be $13.50 plus the taxes.

She was charging me $18.25 plus the taxes. I said ma'am you know I can count right, then asked for receipt. She walked away and tried to ignore the fact I just asked, so I asked again then she stated the receipt machine wasn't working. I stated to her I needed a receipt now because I know that wasn't my total.

She now goes to get a boy. He's now asking why do I want a receipt so I explained why then he went to get someone so he now brings this receipt(pictured) that had a different price and different order then hands me a single dollar ($1) stating he's sorry about the mix up and knows that isn't my order on the receipt but it's close to what I ordered so add that dollar to the $2 she previously handed me back. I originally gave her $20.25.

Not only is this the worst checkers I've ever been to, it's also the worst restaurant I've ever been to as well. Every single time I go they deliberately ignore the customers at the walk up window for 15-20 minutes at a time even when there are no cars in the druve thru but they also often get orders wrong and the employees are very rude. This time however we waited for the standard 20 minutes and in that time someone joined in on the waiting but decided fairly quickly that it wasn't worth it. Smart man. Then 2 seperate people from the drive thru came to the window because they messed up their orders and they fixed both of the orders while studiously ignoring my friend and I and another person came and went deciding it wasn't worth the wait as well who we later saw at the gas station next to the checkers buying ramen before we finally decide we weren't going to wait an hour to order food that was going to be mediocre at best. And the worst part was there was what looked like a manager as well who saw us waiting that whole time. What a shitty way to run a restaurant. I won't be going back and if you don't have a car I wouldn't recommend...
