really nice local market. we visited old mission peninsula, and stopped in here for stuff afterwards. they had a great collection of local products. I imagine the people in this town really appreciate a place that is like a mini Meijer.

We always have looked forward to coming to the market during our stay on the peninsula. I was in the wine section and my mask was below my nose. Instead of simply asking me to put it up, he SCREAMED at me. I was upset. I went to pay for the items and tried to explain that I had a note from my doctor. MORE SCREAMING! Said he didn't want to see the note. Didn't want to hear what I had to say, but was screaming so much, his mask fell below his nose. A simple kind request would have been sufficient.

Can a business refuse service to visitors or customers who are not wearing a face covering? Yes. Businesses open to the public are required to refuse entry or service to those who decline to wear a face covering under Executive Order 2020-153. Are there any exceptions to who must wear a face covering? Yes. The requirement to wear a face covering does not apply to people who: Are younger than five years old, though children two years old and older are strongly encouraged to wear a face covering; or Cannot medically tolerate a face covering such as people who have trouble breathing, are unconscious, incapacitated or unable to remove the covering Can a business refuse service to visitors or customers who are not wearing a face covering? "It is important to remember that along with Executive Orders and specific store policies, businesses and other public spaces must continue to follow the federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Michigan's Persons with Disabilities Civil Rights Act (PWDCRA) during the COVID-19 pandemic,"

"Businesses are required to post signs. Under the latest order, they also can't assume somebody without a face covering is medically exempt from wearing one, though they can accept that explanation if the customer offers it."

"Anyone who cannot medically tolerate a face covering is not required to wear one.

Businesses can no longer assume customers without face coverings have medical justification for doing so.

Now, they must get verbal confirmation from unmasked customers that they have medical reasons for entering without a mask."

Screaming sir was unnecessary, though some debate whether it's a violation of state and federal. Discrimination laws, certainly the SCREAMING took it to another level, especially when I showed you my note.

I would advise you to speak with your attorney for a clarification on the law. And to accuse me of not being considerate of my fellow man when you clearly lacked any compassion for a woman who was standing in your...

May not be any pizza delivery to the peninsula, but the Market makes a great pizza you can pick up without having to go into town. Bakery goods, like the cookies and things, are DELICIOUS. Smaller selection of groceries than in town, but you can certainly find all of your basics, plus some. Super convenient and really glad to have this store close to home. Another big plus - If you love Buchan's ice cream, the Market carries allot of what they have left at end of season until it's all sold. Great little...

My kids and i were verbally attacked at this market by the male cashier. We stopped to get snakes, the are only 6 and 2- 9 year olds. This man yelled at them, calling them germ spreaders and to get out of his store. He grabbed our snacks off the belt and through them behind him. This was a horrible thing to happen to little people, I got us to the car and called the police to make a report. No woman and children should ever have a man scare and intimidate them so they run to their car and have...
