We live only a few minutes from The Grill and ate there, with friends, on Friday. We had been at the table only a minute when we were handed a menu (the waitress did not introduce herself), she asked what we would like to drink. I asked for a specific wine and was told they did not carry it, however when I looked on the menu there it was ! We then proceeded to order food. Our friends asked to share a main course as they have small appetites, they received a raised eyebrow (not professional). My husband and I ordered a starter to share and two main courses. The food arrived 5 minutes later-all of it !!!!! In what restaurant anywhere do you get your 1st & 2nd course at the same time. My husband complained and they took our 2nd course back to the kitchen. The waitress said she thought we could eat it quickly ! Our friends were then eating their main course whilst we had our starter, not good. When the main course did come out mine was cold (I mean cold) I genuinely hate complaining but going out to eat is a real treat for us and I was not about to eat cold food. It came back hot a bit later by which time our friends had just finished eating. Our friends ordered dessert and the waitress was about to walk away without asking us until our friends stopped her. My husband stopped another waitress and asked to speak to the manager. She said that she was the floor manager. My husband proceeded to tell her about our problems and also telling her that the waitress banged into him all the time during the meal (no apology). She was totally on the defensive (they are short staffed, people were waiting for tables, there were people blocking the is aisles and no we should not get our starter together with the main but......and so on. She then tersely said "what do you want". My husband said we didnt want anything but thought she needed to know. She then repeated "what do want", so my husband said to take the starter off the bill (that was not our intention for the complaint I stress). We walked in to the Grill at 6.15 and we were out the door at 7, so much for a nice relaxing meal catching up with friends. I think it is fair to say that it is unlikely any of us will be back. With so many fine restaurants in the area one would imagine that their service would be top notch. I will add that I was a flight attendant for 35 years working in all cabin classes and my treatment of passengers was always better than that which we...

We have been here several times before and have always found the food delicious - which is why we look forward to coming back here to eat every time we are in the area. However, last night we were completely ignored by the wait staff. We were seated by a pleasant hostess with menus (the only reason for the 1 star) and over 20 minutes later, we were still sitting there with menus waiting for someone to say HI - we even made several attempts of fully waving our arms and calling to wait staff passing us by. No one even glanced over. It was like we weren’t even there. We saw people who were seated after us get water and have their orders taken but none of the wait staff would even look at our table in the corner. How do you not see arms flapping and voices yelling HEY?? We understand being understaffed and/or busy - which they have been before - and we don’t mind waiting - but at least acknowledge you know we are there. After all we did to get noticed during that 20 minutes, we doubted it would ever happen. So we left - feeling totally ignored and insignificant. Horrible experience at a place we used to love. We won’t be back. I’m sure the business will continue to thrive because everyone else was eventually getting served. But honestly, no matter how successful and busy your business is, no one should ever be ignored like that. ...

Wow - we had an amazing Saturday lunch experience here. A little FYI first; the menu shown on the Google front page is either inaccurate or incomplete. The menu on the website is accurate but lacked descriptions at time of this writing. There were three of us plus a baby. We got two appetizers: the Broccoli and the Dirty Fries and both were delicious. Two of us had burgers which were cooked perfectly and were yummy. They weren't fancy burgers in any way but were perfect. The other of us ordered the chicken sandwich - which was okay but disappointed slightly. The chicken was crispy delicious on the outside and juicy moist inside. There was a sriracha sauce on it with pickled jalapenos and slaw. The flavors were good but the slaw, in our opinion, should have been omitted as it slopped up the bun. We also all got a cup of Lobster Bisque and we thought it was very good. Our waitress made up for any slaw problems as she was awesome. She was the perfect combination of cheerful personality and attentiveness - without hoovering. We can't wait to go back when a tad warmer out. They have two interesting little garage door type doors that can be pulled entirely up allowing for open air, great outdoor light, and general all around coolness. One of them was open during our visit and the restaurant was just a...

Stopped in during the day to break up our wine tasting 😉. It was vey quiet inside but it took a few minutes for the staff to come seat us. Since we had those few minutes we were ready to order right away. I got the lobster mac and cheese while hubby got the chicken Caesar salad. The mac and cheese was very creamy with big chunks of lobster. It came out vey hot with a nice crispy topping. It's pretty large so I was able to give hubs a few bites. His salad was just that, a salad, nothing exciting. But the ingredients did look vey fresh and he said the chicken was good. Prices were ok and once we were seated the service was good. Our waitress even gave us a few suggestions on which winery to finish off our day (which we took and enjoyed).
