Tinker Studio — Attraction in Peninsula Township

Local original artwork, handcrafts, artists' supplies for watercolor and papercrafting, and home goods. The studio also offers classes, but the schedule is very limited due to COVID-19 precautions.

The selection is thoughtfully curated, reasonably priced, beautifully presented, and representative of the high-quality talent in the region.

Watercolor, pastels, paintings, prints, collages, sculpture in mixed materials, photography, handmade greeting cards, jewelry, woodwork, ceramics, and weaving are all available.

Mary Kay Burbee, whose lovely pastels, watercolor, and acrylics are on view, is often in the studio. She's a delight to speak with, and generous in her representation of the other artists.

First time in this place. Lovely! Great atmosphere and pretty neat art, mostly from local artists. Loved tie-dye socks 🧦 (Christmas presents for nieces!) :) Felt ornaments, paintings, jewelry - lots of things to look at. A bit pricey, although some stuff is quite reasonable. Tinker Studios is a feast for the eyes and the creative senses. What an asset to Old Mission Peninsula and Traverse City. This gallery and learning space has so much to offer, from beautiful landscape pastels, to mixed media sculpture and clever cards . The business owners are so friendly and knowledagble about all of the artwork ... and they offer very unique classes as well. So happy Tinker...
