First, we will give them a second chance. We visited on 7/5/25, a busy holiday weekend. The building was beautiful, the live music outside was pumped through the speakers inside. We ordered an adult beverage that was delicious. All good. However…on every website we could find, a single menu for food popped up. Every platform showed a small menu with corn tortilla tacos. If you’ve ever traveled with family with celiac autoimmune disease, you know that advance research needs to be done to eat out. We were so excited to try this new venue on the peninsula!!! When we arrived, they had pizza and salad on the menu. They were out of salads and the (not gluten-free) pizzas could not be ordered while the kitchen caught up with the orders they already had. So while we were willing for my husband and I to enjoy a cocktail while my dad and sister had an actual meal, that wasn’t even possible. Incredibly disappointing. So call ahead. All of the websites posting the menu are inaccurate. Again, we hope to try again another time after bothering the staff with a phone call to check on dietary restrictions. We’re chalking this up to poor website management, a busy holiday weekend and...
Read moreFantastic place. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Coffee shop ✔️ Distillery ✔️ Art Gallery ✔️ Went on a Sunday morning and had delicious coffee and pastries thru Mission Proper. There was a jazz keyboard player adding a great background. Then i also had delicious cocktails thru Old Mission Distilling. Smooth Gin & Tonic and a surprising jalapeno infused vodka cocktail they called a Hot Mess. Delicious and spicy! You can sit outside in the fresh air, bring your dog, play games, or stay inside to enjoy the modern lounge atmosphere. But don't forget to go across the parking lot. I'm very familiar already with the gallery, Tinker Studio, which is now in their new larger space in the back building. Fantastic owners with hearts of gold. Do go in and look around because there is truly something for everybody. My only critique of the new additions - the sign at the street. Writing is too small and does not have enough contrast. Very easy to drive past. I'm all for subtle, i love monochromatic pallettes - but not practical on signage! It's just not...
Read moreThis place is INCREDIBLE! We stopped by to check out the Old Mission Distilling spirits and found a little slice of family fun heaven. Our kids ran around and played lawn games while we listened to the live music and enjoyed brunch (and then dinner twice when we returned for every remaining day of our vacation). We stopped by Tinker Studios and grabbed some art supplies for the kids to color while we had dinner.
I tried several drinks but the G&T and the Old Fashioned (with rye) were my favorites. Every drink I tried was excellent. None of them were too sweet, they were all light and perfectly balanced. We took home a couple bottles of their liquors and our friends did too. We will...
