Farmers & Miners Bank — Local services in Pennington Gap

Definitely not the bank for people or second chances any longer. I have banked and had loans for over 10 years here. Never had pristine credit but was my home town bank and always helped me Always got whatever needed from them and they always got paid back. Applied for a loan and denied due to credit status, but credit status with them was worthless in their eyes.

Also the loan officer made jokes about other customers weight, cars, money etc. super unprofessional

& to add it took two weeks of jumping around to get told no. Getting a call or email back is worse than pulling teeth. Leaving a message was pointless. I now live over an hour from them but still chose them, wasted 3 trips down there as well to add to the no call back or emails back.

I will never recommend...

cons: Where do I start! I worked here for about 9 months! Worse place I've ever worked at!!! The wages are ridiculously low, Benefits are non existent. No one will stay there for a long period of time. They have no products for the young or elderly. You don't get paid until Monday sometimes Tuesday, just whenever they get around to it! Marsha is hateful that works there... she runs everyone off! Pros: They close at 4:00 P.M which is nice. They have no customers which is great because you just sit there all day!

Farmers and miners bank feels like home when you step through the door. Everyone there feels like a close relative. I've never had this experience with any other bank.
