Everyone knows subway has been going downhill for years. However I got a major problem with them (or at-least their corporate, I know the workers at our local sites have no control over my main issue but it would help if they would at least pick up the phone sometimes.) Anyway, so first subway gets rid of shredded mozzarella and replaces it with âfreshâ mozzarella meaning theirs an up charge. I try calling for 15 minutes the other day and finally give up and go in since you canât place a order through the drive through (making it almost pointless at this point unless u use the app since they never answer the phone. ) so I go in and wait some more to try and order a pizza sub and get told they have discontinued all mozzarella cheese. WHAT?! Why would anyone choose to discontinue that of all things. Because who wants a pizza sub or without mozzarella? If your going to get rid of it take pizza sub off the menu. And some will say just get provolone itâs similar. Maybe in some ways but if youâre looking for anything pizza related mozzarella is the main thing. Also subway has always been on their BS about being âhealthyâ. You know whatâs healthier than provolone? MOZZARELLA. And also subway sells personal pizzas. So I was disgusted to think of that with any other cheese so I decided to check in the app and guess what. They are still using SHREDDED mozzarella for the pizzas. And Iâm sure they was told they arenât allowed to use it on the subs but honestly wth. But also that means that they still was getting the cheaper mozzarella for that but the more expensive for the subs. And if all this is about reducing company costs then why not just drop the âfreshâ mozzarella and go back to the shredded mozzarella that they are already still buying for the pizzas and that everyone preferred. This is the most brain dead decision I can think of. It was the only thing I still liked from there and now I am grieving. Plus Iâm sure there is plenty of other subs that used mozzarella cheese that people are going to be disappointed in having without it. Thereâs so much more I could say but I think my tangent has been long...
Read moreThe last 3 times that Iâve been in the Pennington gap location have been everything but good, the dark haired brown/black headed younger girl that works there has a âbadâ day âeverydayâ to hear her tell it sheâs everlasting throwing the sandwiches around she blows and gets huffy over the least little thing, I was in there last week and two guys walked in behind me and she literally bangs the counter and says to her co worker that she âjust canât with todayâ that sheâs had ââmore than she can takeâ, my girl friend went in today for soup at 530 pm she asked for 6 bowls but they barley had enough for 3, when asked if they could make more the girl tells her âno, itâs to late for thatâ and they had hours before closing. I wouldnât even give this place 1 star if I didnât have to. If you want subway Iâd advise you go somewhere other than...
Read moreI'm doing this review because not all franchise restaurants are the same. Sure they may have the same menu, workers wearing the same type of uniforms but the things that make you drive passed or drive in an out of the way direction to get to that one particular store that gets your order correct. The store that dresses your sandwich with care, not just throwing things together to get the order cleared. The store where the workers pay attention to the "special details" section on the app order. The store where you don't have to check your order before you leave to make sure it is correct. These are all the things that are important enough to provide a positive review. If you care about these type of things as I do, then get your next sub at this Pennington Gap, Virginia location, a...
