The Pennington Gap Community Center is conveniently located in town adjacent to The Lee Theater. There is on street parking in front, a large parking area in back with steps leading up to the main level, and an overflow parking lot available at Pennington Gap Pharmacy. I have had all three birthday parties for my grandson here! I'm very particular, especially when it involves him, and this place serves all my expectations very well. It's truly the best place for a party with plenty of room to add in all types of activities, a lot of both round and rectangle shaped tables for small or large parties/events, and plenty of chairs to use. There are 2 nice, big and clean restrooms and a full kitchen with 2 refrigerators with top freezers to keep your ice, a full size stove, microwave, 4 coffee pots, a main and side wash sink, nice counter space for any prep work you have, and a big open buffet style bar with lots of convenient receptacles open to the venue to use as well. 2 TV's are also provided which could be used for all sorts of media options. There's a big parking lot in the back that could possibly be used for a jump house rental, if the town would allow for it. Just a few steps away on the same side of the street is Pennington Pharmacy with a huge helium tank to inflate any size and number of balloons; you can safely walk them on the sidewalk right to your event instead of having to drive with them, and also saves you from having to purchase your own tank and string to fix them yourself, both a time and money saver. There's also a few party supplies there if you need anything extra. A back door with a nice open deck is provided with a standing ash tray if you happen to have smokers who need a safe and comfortable space to go to. I took a driving class at this location it is clean and well maintained building and the class was very well run. The individuals running the class cared about there class taking great care to give detail information to aid us in our driving go way beyond basics in there concerns that everyone was noticed and apreciated and I believe made everyone feel like they were cared about. Real nice . Very large. Plenty of electric outlets for all the crockpots we had. 2 refrigerators , just really nice. Well heated . Actually to hot at 70. I am sure the summertime a/c would be...
