What a horrible customer service experience. I was given a gift card to use at this store, so I ordered a custom ring to be made with my grandmother's stone. I picked a design and the owner measured my finger using another ring. When I went to pick it up, the ring was too big. I was told it would be re-sized, rush order. I called several days later to check on the status and it had not even been looked at. Then I was called back and asked to come back in to be measured again. I was hoping for an apology for the inconvenience, as it is 30 minutes each way everytime I have to drive to the shop, and I had already been there 3 times. Not only was I not offered an apology but I was yelled at by the shop owner. At one point he said he would remove the stone from the ring and send it in the mail. I specifically said I did not want that done with the stone. I said I would come back when I was able but could not guarantee when it would be. The next day I received an envelope with the stone in it and postage due. I called the shop to express my displeasure in them mailing the stone and also telling them I would not be paying the postage. The shop owner said he would send a dollar and...

I haven't patronized this place for YEARS after overhearing the female owner talking to her friend/co-worker about how incompetent a customer was - in a BEGINNER jewelry-making class! All while ignoring me and a couple of other customers in the shop. After yet another subsequent poor customer service experience, I never went back...but it led me to a great bead shop in Bloomington which has a friendly and knowledgeable owner. Definitely worth the drive! Glad the grumpy curmudgeons left Junction City. Their snobbish attitude was atypical of business owners in that shopping center anyway so they weren't a good fit. I've since heard of numerous other (now former) customers who had offensive experiences and stopped shopping there as well. It's really too bad because they had beautiful jewelry for purchase and lots of supplies, too. Makes me wonder if they were actually asked to leave...

We are so lucky to have Pumpkin Glass in our community. They have reasonably priced, QUALITY and beautiful jewelry making supplies and kits. They have jewelry making and glass classes. They also help repair jewelry and make custom pieces. The owners Bruce and Teresa are always very helpful, patient and knowledgeable. I have checked out stores in places like the Chicago area and I was mostly disappointed in all those highly rated stores. Pumpkin Glass had just as good or better wares and much better customer service, kits and classes and it has only reinforced how wonderful it is to have such a resource here in our...
