Top-Notch Equestrian Facility - New Jersey Equestrian Center Delivers Excellence!
My kids and I had an absolutely fantastic experience at the New Jersey Equestrian Center! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the world-class facilities and the warm, welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're a seasoned rider or just starting out, this center has something for everyone.
We started with a safety orientation, which was both fun and educational after which we were fitted for our safety riding equipment. Meg our instructor showed us some beautiful horses and paired us with the prefect one, Oliver. We felt so safe and comfortable, we didn't want the lesson to end. Afterwards, we said farewell to Oliver. Until next time Oliver.
The NJ Equestrian Center boasts top-notch arenas, well-maintained stalls, and excellent turnout areas for horses. The attention to detail in their facilities is clear. The team at NJEC are knowledgeable, passionate about horses, and super helpful. Meg made sure we felt comfortable and supported throughout our visit and we learned so much. Whether you're interested in riding lessons,(like us) horse shows, training programs, or just want to board your horse, NJEC offers a range of options for everyone. The center's location is easy to get to and centrally located in north jersey on rt.23. The grounds are beautiful, providing a lovely backdrop for horse activities.
Overall, our experience at the New Jersey Equestrian Center was Excellent - we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great equestrian facility! Whether you're looking to ride, board a horse, or participate in events, NJEC is a standout choice. We'll be back again for sure. Thanks Meg and the NJEC for s...
Read moreMy daughter has been riding here since she was 5 and is now 10, because of the kind and caring staff, my daughter's skills and confidence has grown. Her trainer Danielle, knows how to work with the young riders and more experienced riders. I also like, the mentoring program where the older girls teach and work with the younger girls. My daughter has learned so much and has formed strong bonds with the other girls. My daughter has also made friends with people her own age. NJEC has summer camp and even though, I can pick my daughter up when its over, she wants to stay with the camp counselors until the last one leaves.
I have found management,in particular Sabrina, to be very helpful in meeting my needs, answering questions and giving me guidance with my daughters riding.
There are also monthly (except in warmer weather) horse shows. The shows give the riders the ability to show and learn about showing, whatever their skill. They also make it fun with theme parties, Halloween, Holiday and integrate the horses too.
There is a wide range of horses and ponies to meet everyone's riding level. The horses are well cared for and loved. Stalls are clean and floors as well, so you are not stepping in anything.
The owners live locally and participate in many Pompton Plains/Pequannock Twp activities and events. I'l lucky to have a local barn for my daughter to ride and I know she is safe when I...
Read moreI signed up my child for 1/2 hour lessons. To my dismay, I found out they were including grooming and tacking up in the lesson, leaving her with very little horseback time. In theory, that sounds like it makes sense, until you realize my child is too young to groom or tack horses. I spoke with the front desk to make sure that she could have the full 1/2 hour on horseback, and I was told that would be fine. The next time she had a lesson, the teacher cut her horseback time short yet again, even though she didn't arrive at the stall until five minutes past lesson time and my child didn't get on the horse until 10 minutes past lesson time. Instead of giving me the courtesy of extending the lesson for the full time promised, she started arguing with me about how I was wrong about the time (though I literally have my phone in front of me). She said the front desk person has no right to say anything about how she runs her lessons. Meanwhile, she cuts my child's lesson short to try to make her next appointment. I've also watched a few other lessons that were handled quite poorly with teachers on their phones or too busy talking to other teachers to pay attention to their students. There are dozens of stables in New Jersey, so take your...
