I saw that we were getting a new Cafe in my neighborhood and was really looking forward to stopping in to support a new local business, and was hoping it would not be like the run of the mill strip joint franchises that have unidentified "non coffee drinker's drinks". Well, I was not disappointed, I went in twice and tried several things. The coffee actually tastes like what coffee should taste like. I've heard 2 people say while I was in there, "This is what coffee tastes like in Italy". On one visit I bought some Mediterranean / Mid East cookies (that we call Mamoul). It was perfect and made me so happy to know the level of baking and food preparation is what it would have been if I made it with my own two hands for my family. And trust me that says alot, because these non-American items are so much more than just cookies put in an oven. I thought it was surprising that Classico has 2 meal items available and out of curiosity I wanted to try the gnocchi with cherry tomatoes. It was exactly as I thought it would be.... restaurant quality. Half of the dish was enough to satisfy me, yay for leftovers and another delicious meal tomorrow. And if all that is not enough, I saved the best part for last. The two times I went in I met 4 people and 3 customers. It is so warm and welcoming you just feel as if you entered a friend's house, get to talking, and that the people are genuinely interested in making you feel welcome and at home (now, if they remember my name when I go back, I will be flabergasted... but I remember theirs! I suppose you can go in, buy coffee and walk out like those "other places" but I would make a bet that you're not going to walk out of there without a smile. And you might even find yourself saying "chow" instead of good bye! (although that may depend on who is working that day, lol) There are little surprises in this cafe, for example I didn't expect one could have a nice hot plate of good Italian food if that's what you need at the moment or walk to the rear and you find the pretty parfaits and Italian ice creams. Don't be surprised if the next time I walk in, I have my inlaid mother of pearl backgammon set under my arm!! (and keep encouraging friends around the neighborhood to support Cafe Classico. Stop in and...
Read moreDont be deceived by the construction outside, they are open with alot of parking which I appreciate. As soon as you enter, you're greeted. There's ample amount of seating and great space. I got the "Classic" drink, mini stromabolini, & chocolate croissant. My drink was great if you are a sweet tooth type of person. I was looking for more of an ice coffee but didnt taste any but still enjoyed the drink. It tasted like a forerro rocher drink which I did enjoy. Dont wait to drink because the wafers on the bottom get soggy. The chocolate croissant was just okay. Ive never had a chocolate croissant that didn't have chocolate filling, the chocolate was only drizzled on top which I was highly disappointed in. The mini strombolini was really delicious I would have loved more but its overpriced. Overall I did like this place rated 3 stars because the food (from my opinion)...

We indulged in the chocolate and pistachio flavors (which disappeared too fast for a photoâoops!). Beyond the incredible flavors, the welcoming atmosphere is what makes this place truly special. The owner and his kindhearted mother were there, ensuring every guest felt right at home.
