Tri-County Fairgrounds — Local services in Petersburg

Good food, plenty of games, typical Fair rides for kids and teens and adults. Local fire departments have events going on and or stands where they can make money, so they can continue doing their volunteer work. The only issue with this Tri-County Fair is parking they need to make more handicap parking available close to where you enter the fair. Like along the road versus having handicap spots in the fields. I went one year with my daughter who was in a wheelchair at that time and it was extremely difficult to park in the field and push her through the field. The next year I dropped her off at the gate and left her sit in her wheelchair till I could find parking, but that means leaving her all alone while I go parking. This also was not a good option especially since I did not have anyone else available to help me with my daughter. Can you imagine what a married couple who is retired and considered senior citizens has to go through to get parking close to the entrance. Basically you have to be there way early to get any good parking. They do have a shuttle bus that if you were parked pretty far away from the fairgrounds they will give you a ride. Very well kept. It is a great and huge experience for your kids to get into 4-h and ffa to show their animals. Local businesses really turn out and support the kids in purchasing their animals at great prices. You can show your crafts and canned foods a as well.
