I had some pictures and videos but it got destroyed on my old external hard drive. So unfortunately, I feel compelled to come back to this station JUST to show you all how truly bad this is.
To give some context I am born and raised in NYC. So, you know I've seen some ish. I've been to metro stations in many other cities in this country and around the world. Toronto, Mexico City, Montreal, San Francisco/Bay Area, Chicago, Tokyo, Osaka, Beijing, Chengdu, Washington, D.C. and a few more. In fact, one of my favorite things about travelling to other cities is checking out and comparing their metros.
As much as people complain about NYC's subway system (and yes, there's definitely gripes to be had) no other public transit system (other than Baltimore's) has made me feel more unsafe than SEPTA in Philadelphia. And this station is the shining example of everything wrong with SEPTA and the decay of this country overall.
Allegheny station should be renamed to "Zomebieland" because the very moment you step out, you see nothing but zombies. I thought that something happened and north Philly turned into Resident Evil for a second. I never in my life seen so much trash, filth, loitering and of course, ZOMBIES at a station, The very moment you step off, you're greeted with tai chi artist, stair and rail gymnast, and amazing displays of flexibility from the contortionist.
Everything in the vicinity of the area is closed down or closing down because other than the station, the whole street is littered with zombies.
If you have any sort of temptations or curious about doing drugs, or if you want to see first hand the drug crisis and epidemic sweeping the nation and the decay of this country; then come to Allegheny station come to Kensington.
And to some of the bozos rating this station 5 stars (other then the dude who made a HILARIOUS 5 star review which was clearly satire), ya'll must be some zombies yourselves. Being sympathetic and empathetic is one thing but to act like this isn't a problem is...

As soon as I arrived, I was greeted by the friendliest residents - many of whom love it so much they can be seen sleeping right there on the street and steps throughout the day! - which added a heartwarming touch to my visit. It's not every day you encounter such a welcoming committee. The station's commitment to its residents is truly commendable.
One of the standout features at Allegheny Station is the provision of free medical care and vaccines. The well-maintained and sanitary facilities ensure that everyone can access quality healthcare. The attention to cleanliness extends to the needle administration process, with an emphasis on safety and hygiene. It's reassuring to see that the station goes above and beyond to ensure the well-being of its visitors.
Moreover, the nurses at Allegheny Station are both qualified and competent, delivering medical services with professionalism and care. Their dedication to their work is evident, and they make the entire experience smooth and stress-free.
In conclusion, Allegheny Station's commitment to its residents, free medical care, and vaccine administration sets a high standard for community support. It's a place that not only cares for its residents but also welcomes everyone with open arms, both two-legged and...
