Dollar General — Local services in Philadelphia

The store was recently renovated to include a much larger frozen food & grocery section with many popular name brands. They did the same with health & beauty, home decor & craft sections. The employees are for the most part, friendly, knowledgeable & helpful. One employee in particular has gone above & beyond on 3 different occasions, and I forget her name (next time). A couple things need work, such as drastic increase in many prices; the lack of enough carts/baskets; and the appearance of several large wheeled carts, full of merchandise for restocking, that completely block off many aisles. Terrible customer service and if you ask to speak to a manager they are never available and you can never speak with one , I was told to get on my phone and type in Dollar General corporate customer service to talk to somebody by the cashier, and when I asked why I couldn't speak to a manager in the store in person she had no answer for me. They also take your bags at the door, and place your belongings to the side next to the entrance and exit where somebody can take them at anytime, and they don't even give you a tag or number or anything to verify that that is your bag or your belongings!! The store has been disorganized since it's grand opening, and that's been a few years ago. They rarely have cash in the register to give change back, merchandise is everywhere (not on the shelves), and some items are way past their expiry date. I'm surprised corporate has kept this store up, and I doubt they even visited the store themselves. Health Inspector has been too lenient on this store too.
