I had several bad experiences here. When I joined in 2018 there was no personal introduction/tour or welcome to the facility by any team member. The locker room was rather dated. In February 2018 I had a fall with open skull head injury during a small group skating lesson. The injury resulted in me being taken by ambulance to Chestnut Hill Hospital being diagnosed with a concussion and needing stitches. No one from the club ever followed up/touched base with me to see how I was doing. In fact, when my husband went to pick up my car the next day he popped in the club to tell the receptionist I was home and he was getting my car -- her only response to him was in a rude tone that I was not a member and should not have been skating there (which I certainly was a member)... He suggested she follow the money trail to the person I paid at the club when I got my membership (I went through the Director of Operations). Ron is a master of skate sharpening. I’d return only for those services. However, I will never skate on their ice again and subject myself to the warrantless bullying I received from their members. There is a reason why I never joined their club despite its convenient proximity. Truth be told, Wiss is home to the PSC&SC wanna-be’s. They want the prestige, talent, and class but lack all three.
