Living with a serious infestation of drain flies for over two years, repeatedly requesting maintenance to tighten my windows and doors, to exterminate, and to look for the root cause, but the problem remained strong! One day the office calls to say I need to move immediately to another apartment because there’s a pipe issue under my floor. This was the root of the drain fly problem. They only realized it when the neighbor next door had a leak. I was not given any options but to move to another studio, which I was told was the same size as mine but it had considerably less storage/closet space. I was declined reimbursement for professional movers to move my stuff and the “inconvenience fee” that was offered me in the form of rental credit was less than a month’s rent. After living with drain flies in my face and food for two years and the psychological affects of being called one day and told to move tomorrow without giving me precise information on the space I was suddenly being forced to move into… it’s been the worst night mare, losing work hours, appointments, a day at the beach, and more in order to absorb an issue completely unrelated to me. This November made my first year at the Woodmere apt. I must say I love my cozy one bedroom. It's large enough for me with a huge walk in 'like' pantry, linen closet, coat closet and nice size bedroom closet. My outdoor living space adds to the comfort and space. I get my BBQ grilling on in the summer with steps away from the pool. The location is PERFECT! Bus stops are right at the corners, CVS is right across the street and mall within walking distance. The club house activities are the bomb. I took an exercise class yesterday and then enjoyed 'Taco Tuesday.' LOL. I dealt with Samantha Foxwell, a leasing agent and Yvonne, the property manager. Rather than list my grievances for Samantha to continue to lie about, and Yvonne to support her, I would recommend that you don’t invest any time or money in moving here. There are several new builds in the Roxborough/ Manayunk area, all around the same price range, and although I really loved the idea of a balcony, I found a beautiful, brand new apartment with a leasing agent and management company that did not engage in predatory practices at all during this process and also did not require a holding fee and brings me peace of mind as a tenant. Woodmere still has $1700+ of my money and I never moved there. Keep searching. Happy...
