This place is terrible. I thought it maybe was just my first time back there in 2 years and they had new management ...I visited them again and this time I got a Mani pedi. The sign said 20 for pedi and 25 for gel manicure. The woman (tonya) who did my pedi handed me a brochure that didn't show a 20 $ pedi but rather a 30...I don't have calluses and don't need the extra salt rub and hot stones, just a basic trim and polish change, but I caved and agreed to her barter because she insisted since it was a weekday that I could get the 30 for 27. So then I pick out my polish and the man who smells like he literally finished a cigarette seconds before coming in to "pamper" me and do a gel mani. I had clean nails so no polish removal was necessary, he shaped my nails and trimmed my cuticles then buffed and polished. Once the 60 seconds passed I moved my hand out of the light as he chatted with Tonya in Vietnamese and then he turned to me and said" bake it again that's stupid you take it out. " he added something about dust and then went back to chatting in Vietnamese and I'm sure it was about me. I go to pay for services and the expected 45 became 55 because the lady told me I chose more than one polish for my nails. No designs no french tips no gems no ombre. Simple flat colors. This was Monday. Today is Thursday and my gel polish is already chipping so I came on here to warn you that UK nails is not what it used to be and the new employees there will insult you by sayi by you're stupid, bully you into a 30 dollar 20 dollar pedi and charge you more for picking 2 colors not one for your nails. I'm taking my business back to Best Nail and Spa on 43rd and Thunderbird and should've never tried...
Read moreThe day I came into this establishment was March 30 2019 I came in with Celena the one girl who got a toe infection from your tools sorry that you don’t remember but I did get a service from your business so my review will stay. This review is valid. This establishment dose not sanitize their tools. When the nail technician uses a tool such as a toe nail clipper or cuticle clipper the technician grabs the tool from a little pencil box which seems to be covered in nail dust. After the technician then uses the tool guess what the same tool goes right back in the box with no proper sanitation. The reason I know this is that I watched a nail technician finish on one customer who was already getting her toes done when I arrived the technician put the tools used on this customer next to me in the box and when It was time for another customer to get their pedicure the same cart was wheeled over to the lady next to me and the the same box was opened to be used on the next costumer...that very same box with 0 sanitation between customers . When the technician did my toes the nail file and foot buffer / pumice stone had white stuff all over it which is an indication of reusing the same tools on MULTIPLE clients. Their is no possible way to properly sanitize a emery board file you need a new one with every new client. The file used on my toes had white nail dust from previous customers all over it. Their are guidelines and sanitary regulations that nail salons are supposed to follow and keep up with. I’m sad and very disappointed that these rules are being blatantly over looked and this establishment its unsafe and gross....I...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars and still write this review I would! I had the worst experience with getting my nails done here. When I first walked in I was greeted and told to pick my colors for the full set acrylics I was asking for.. okay no problem except every color I picked up the bottle was empty or dried out. I sat down at my station and the nail lady sat down as well. I told her what I wanted and she began she did not make conversation and when I tried I got eyes rolls and another language spoken to another employee there, Nothing to me. I then told the lady I needed my nails to be short, because I work in the health care field with the elderly. She began to cut them and I had to tell her several times "shorter" when we got to a short length I still was not happy and asked her to go shorter and she told me "no!" I was in shock and thought to myself okay I can get over them being long let's continue. She started painting my nails the colors I have chosen, the design was not even a design it was a stack on paint on top of stack of paint. I told her I did not like them and she ignored me. She sat me in a chair next to someone else that worked there and I told him I do not like these. He looked and then and said they look fine. I paid and left she told me they were dry so I reached for my keys and had black paint all over my hands! I will never go there again and never send...
