I'm writing this review to share a disappointing experience I had at this Dollar General location on a Sunday night.
I arrived at the store around 9:50 PM to quickly purchase a pack of cigarettes. I waited behind one other customer and when it was my turn, the clerk asked for my ID, as required. Unfortunately, I had left my wallet at home and didn’t have my phone to access my ID through the myColorado app. I let the clerk know I’d be right back, as I live just a few minutes away.
Knowing the store closes at 10 PM, I moved quickly. I made it back and pulled into the parking lot at exactly 10:00 PM. However, when I walked up to the doors, they were already locked—even though there were still customers being helped inside. The employees inside simply gestured toward their watches and shrugged, with no attempt to communicate or acknowledge the situation.
What makes this more frustrating is that the checkout process at this location tends to be slower than it should be. With more efficient service, I would have completed my purchase the first time or made it back a minute earlier. I’m not expecting rules to be broken, but I do expect a level of common sense and consideration, especially in a small community setting where customer relationships should matter.
This kind of rigid, indifferent approach is not what I expect from a store meant to serve its local residents. A little understanding and a more efficient checkout process would go a long way toward improving the overall...
Read moreI visited this location a couple days ago to purchase a phone charger. Brand name "Wireless Gear", Turbo Series, in purple.
I got home, it didn't work, it's the correct charger, size, outlet works for other devices, the charger even lit up inside, I tried it with other usb charging adapters, but no charge to my phone or other devices with their adapters.
I returned today, at 7:30 pm, brought it in to exchange. The young lady at the register asked if I had a receipt, I said no, the guy that sold it to me had asked if I wanted one, I unfortunately didn't think I'd need it. She told me nothing could be done. Then the very guy that sold it to me a couple days ago, came up to the counter, I asked him if he remembered me buying it from him 2 days ago, he told me "to be honest, I try to forget everything about this place as soon as I get home".

It's clear this location/company doesn't treat them right. Additionally, the older woman who I assume is in a management position is never very friendly to me.
