BUGS in our beds, broken sinks and toilets, many other issues during our stay!!! 1.Before booking, I asked about the pet fee and was clearly told it would be waived. I paid the full invoice accordingly. Yet, just 2.5 hours before our arrival, I received an alarming message stating our reservation wouldn’t begin until the unpaid pet fee was resolved. I had to re-forward the previous conversation to prove that it had already been waived. This last-minute confusion created unnecessary stress for our entire group as we were traveling. Denied Early Entry – Despite Empty Property and Extreme Heat We arrived just over an hour early after a long 7-hour drive. With 10 people and 2 dogs waiting in 95-degree heat, we politely asked for early check-in. We were told the house might not be ready. However, it was clear upon arrival that no crews were there and the house was unoccupied. It’s extremely frustrating that we were left to wait outside for over an hour, when proper communication between your team and vendors could have avoided the situation. If your crews had notified you when they were finished, you could have safely allowed us in. As a professional vacation rental company, this type of internal coordination should be a basic standard. Plumbing Issues – Completely Avoidable, Never Fixed Upon arrival, we found water on the bathroom floor and opened the cabinet to discover a trash can placed underneath the sink to catch a slow leak—which clearly had been known about in advance. We were left messaging your team late into the first evening, meeting with maintenance, and then told a new faucet had to be ordered and wouldn’t arrive during our stay. Additionally, the only other basement bathroom had a toilet that didn’t flush. Even after being looked at, it continued to malfunction. That meant six people staying in the basement were forced to share one partially functioning bathroom the entire stay. The lack of urgency and communication around these problems is unacceptable. Hot Tub and Pool Issues – Major Draws for Booking, Disappointing in Reality One of the main reasons we chose this property was the private pool. However, the water was so hot (from summer sun) that the kids stopped swimming after 30 minutes. Had we known the pool didn’t have any cooling feature or practical use in hot months, we would have chosen a different home. The hot tub was also locked at 102°F when we arrived and was unusable until your team sent someone to fix it on the second night. This could easily be avoidable by ensuring your crews check this before the arrival of new guests. Bug Infestation – Serious Health Concern That Remains Ignored This is by far the most unacceptable part of our stay. After our first night, we noticed bites but didn’t think much of it. On our final night, we found dead bugs in the beds of the basement bedrooms—raising obvious concern for bed bugs. Multiple people ended up sleeping upstairs or on floors.. Since returning home, we’ve taken extensive precautions to disinfect and treat our belongings to prevent the possibility of bringing anything back with us. We have photo documentation of the bugs and the bites. Misleading Listing Information The dining table only seated 8, though the home sleeps 12. Outdoor seating only accommodated 4. Dog bowls were listed but not present. I had to feed our dogs from paper plates and one bowl I happened to bring. :Additionally, your listing claims the home includes “extra sheets, quilts, blankets, pillows and more.” In reality: There was only one extra sheet and quilt, and that was for the pull-out sofa—which was so uncomfortable we ended up sleeping on the floor. While there were a few extra blankets, none were even twin-size. There were extra pillows, but no pillowcases to use with them. We shared all of these concerns during and after our stay in hopes of a fair resolution. While the owner did respond with apologies and said they would review the issues to improve future guest experiences, no direct resolution was offered for the challenges we faced...

The interior of the cabin was immaculate, with every detail meticulously curated to create a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The decorations were tasteful and thoughtfully chosen, adding a touch of personality to each room. Whether it was the rustic wooden furnishings, the charming wall art, or the cozy blankets draped over the couches, every element came together seamlessly to create a space that felt like home away from home.

One of the highlights of our stay was the cleanliness of the cabin. It was evident that great care had been taken to ensure that every corner was spotless, allowing us to relax and unwind without a worry in the world. From the pristine bathrooms to the gleaming kitchen countertops, it was clear that the owners spared no effort in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness.

But the beauty of Bluff Mountain Dream Cabin extended far beyond its interior walls. Situated amidst the breathtaking scenery of Bluff Mountain, the cabin offered spectacular views that took our breath away. Whether we were sipping coffee on the spacious deck or stargazing under the vast expanse of the night sky, every moment spent outdoors was nothing short of magical.

In addition to its scenic surroundings, the cabin also offered a plethora of activities to keep us entertained throughout our stay. From hiking and biking trails to quaint local shops and restaurants, there was never a dull moment in the area. And when the sun dipped below the horizon, we were treated to a mesmerizing display of colors as we watched the sky transform into a canvas of vibrant hues.

In conclusion, our experience at Bluff Mountain Dream Cabin was nothing short of extraordinary. From its impeccable cleanliness to its charming decor and breathtaking views, every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations. Whether you're seeking a romantic getaway or a fun-filled family vacation, this hidden gem in the heart of Bluff Mountain is sure to leave you with memories to...

We stayed there recently and overall the stay was great. I would stay there again. Here are the pros and cons, the pros far out way the cons. Pros: great location , within minutes of a ton of activities and restaurants. Note it is walkable technically to the main road but we never did as it’s a 6 lane road and not a great place to walk hot tub and pool were fantastic for our kids nerf guns and pac man machine was great each room had its own bathroom and all the rooms were spacious. All the bedrooms had big beds and the kids room had a great “treehouse” of bunk beds the kitchen had all the necessities including a blender and coffee machine they provided intro snacks and coffee quiet neighborhood, and nice and safe they provides shampoo, conditioners, soap, TP, lotion, etc. very close driving distance to everything you want to do! Cons: there was no shelves in the bedrooms, only hangers for the closet space with one high shelves. The rooms need a dresser or shelves as this was bad for our clothes the house is WAY smaller than the picture make it seem. We had a party of 6 and it was fine for us but if you are a party of 8 or more then this might be right the air hockey air did not work, nor did the playstation and nor did the laser tag machines the upstairs was hot, especially in the treehouse and game room area. it’s not terrible but it would be hot if you have a lot of people there the location is in a very busy area and it’s very hard to make a left turn out of the area. it was fine for us but if your looking for a safe place to walk around, this is not it.

overall we had a great stay and we would stay...

We stayed at the Direct Lake Front Retreat with private dock in Dandridge right on Douglas Lake. This was the perfect place for peacefulness and relaxation! The lake had plenty of elevation and weather was perfect during the last week of August. The property sits in a private cove and was perfect for our two large dog breeds, we could keep them off leash to run the property without worries (both are trained with recall as well). The cabin was clean and cozy, beds comfortable, kitchen well stocked, and we had no issues to ever warrant a call to the owner. The view of the lake from upper cabin deck was stunning and the chairs were so nice for rocking our twins to sleep. There was plenty of entertainment for the older kids. They especially liked the hot tub, foosball table and PacMan game, swimming, fishing and using our kayak and paddle board. The dock and property were selling points for us to rent. The dock was a super nice double decker with an umbrella to pull out if you need it for some shade! Loved that the dock was relatively easy access without of ton of stairs compared to some properties, my 85 year old grandmother could still get to the dock and enjoy the lake! It was pretty quiet, we only saw a few fisherman during our stay. There are a few homes around but you don’t notice them unless boating/kayaking out a little way from cabin. We highly recommend this Airbnb and can’t wait to rent again!

We stayed at the electric cabin and teepee. It was wonderful, great family time, and exactly what we needed. Would definitely stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at their new luxury lodge in Chalet Village! If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! The sun rose every morning right over the mountains out front. The view was breathtaking! The basement was a huge hit with our kids - arcade games, board games, corn hole, and even a fantastic NERF battle wall. We had a couple of family NERF wars throughout the house, and that was probably the highlight of the trip for my kids. The beds were comfortable. Everything was clean. Bathrooms were pristine. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked and organized. Even the pots and pans were beautiful...haha! There was a pack n play and high chair available. They've truly thought of everything, and Justin, Bill, and Brittany were excellent hosts. Another pleasant surprise was that to go most places from here, we drove down Campbell Lead Road and the Gatlinburg Parkway Bypass, which was just a gorgeous drive with frequent scenic overlooks. Cannot recommend this more highly!
