Big Bear Mountain is an excellent product of new roller coaster philosophy. The launches are very fun and quite fast. The ride is also super smooth, which is always great. The on-ride audio is also excellent. I love how the ride integrates well with the rest of Wildwood Grove. The ride also goes under a bridge and through a small cave, which is really cool. Waits can be kind of long though, which is understandable. A word of advice; the standard fast pass is not accepted on this ride. You need the premium one, which I assume is much more expensive.

Intensity Rating: 6/10 Overall...

Total fun! DW made a big commitment to this ride, and I was concerned that it might not live up to expectations. But, it definitely does. 'Family' coasters are always going to be less intense than more extreme coasters, but this one is great fun regardless of your coaster tastes. And the theming of the entire attraction is perfect. If I would have any criticism/suggestion it would be....the area needs more trees. Currently, it's pretty barren and not very 'woodsy'....just a thought. Regardless, as is, it's still a 5.0. ...
