I went to the RHTS for the first time on 12/31/22. It could have been a treasure hunt of glass items. Most of the items were not price tagged so we kept going up to the front and asked the price. Well, the lady April, was ok at first but after awhile she became irritated with us. After about 45 minutes we went to check out. The man who was wrapping our things in news paper for us was pushed to the side and this April started to toss, yes toss, our dishes in the box. My sister asked if she would please wrap one teacup in paper since it was delicate, April grabbed it from her and just put it in the box! Now, she slid the box down the counter where I picked it up and said thank you, she never acknowledged me, went to the front door where my sister stepped out and once I got one foot on the porch April SLAMMED the door on me!!! Customers outside asked what happened so I told them and apparently they knew of her, calling her “blondie “ and said she must be having a bad day!! That is no excuse, we would have spent more money but not with her attitude!! Price the items so customers don’t have to worry about going up 15 times to ask. I’m not sure who owns, managers, or prices the items but she, April, needs to...
Read moreRude "manager" and shady prices. This was my first time ever going to this store, and I thought it might have some nice stuff in it. I picked a clothing item off a rack that was new with tags and had a sign above it that said "$4 sweatshirts" or something like that. There were no other sections that had sweatshirts. When I brought it to the front to purchase, she told me a different price, because she took one look at the original tag and it was a name brand. I even told her that was were i found it and I wasn't trying to lowball, but that was literally the price it said for the rack. Then she got snippy with me and said that she was the "manager" when I literally did not ask. For something that was probably donated to them for free, the imaginary price that she pulled out of her a$$ was not justifiable. If you wanted to charge something more than what you got it for maybe next time put an actual price tag on the item for the price you want and honor that price. I saw another review on here saying that they judge you based on how you are dressed and maybe that was what was...
Read moreI like this place because of the good selection and the proceeds go to charity the only thing is the manager is quite shady. If you have something with a price tag there's a good chance when you go to check out manager will change the price tag something higher. If you have a product without a price tag I've seen it being offered to different people for different prices I can only assume based on how well they're dressed. And once you do get a price on something without a price tag you better pay for it and leave because the longer you stay in the store with an item without a price tag the higher the price will go I found this out when I was buying two pans I was told it was $8 10 minutes later I'm still in the store I was told it was $10 when i go to check out I was told it was 15. Makes me wonder, I've never felt so dirty patronizing a thrift store that...
