UPDATE: go to bottom for the update. I am making this review on behalf of my boyfriend who brought his laptop to this establishment for repairs. At some point in October, my boyfriend had an issue with his laptop, so he called the owner of this business for help with it. The owner was very knowledgeable about the issue and we scheduled to come bring him the laptop. He told us he would keep it and work on it and then let us know when he was done. This required us to make a $60 deposit (more or less) just for him to look at it. After a month, we had heard NOTHING from anyone. We tried calling, but the phones had been broken, so we waited and decided to drive the hour to talk to someone in person. The boss wasnāt there, apparently at a doctors appointment and a male employee was alone in the shop. My boyfriend asked to take the laptop and to forget looking at it as it wasnāt touched and taking too long (he uses his laptop almost everyday) but the screws were missing? We asked if he could find them and he said no, we would have to wait an hour for his boss to get back from his doctors appointment (we couldnāt because we lived over an hour away and it was already around 4 oāclock). We ended up leaving and deciding to give him more time to work on the laptop as it had only been a couple months, maybe he was stacked up with work. Another few weeks go by with no word, so we call hoping the phones werenāt down. Luckily someone answered (not the owner, but a male employee) and said he wasnāt sure what was going on with the laptop, but it was still there. We waited another week or so and called again. This time a female employee answered and said she would āwrite down our number to give to the boss to get back to usā or something similar. We never got a call from the owner. We called again another time. The same or another female employee answered, we got the same unfulfilled promise. Earlier this week, we finally just said weād come get it today (Friday) and when we showed up there, the laptop had not been touched AT ALL. The owner even admitted he had not touched it once IN FOUR MONTHS and said he knew it was bad for the business. On top of all this, he misplaced the screws which were taken out of the laptop to see the inside AND BLAMED MY BOYFRIEND saying he must have had them (we brought them in a container and he took them out, putting them in a cup or something, and he then returned the empty container to us that is now in our home, obviously empty). His solution? For us to buy some off Amazon and send him the bill (unlikely heād pay for it and why would we ever want to rely on him again after this) or that he would mail the screws to us if he somehow found them (in his mess of a shop btw). You wasted my time, misplaced my property, insulted my character, and overall have been the worst service I have ever experienced. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS LAZY, LYING, SCAMMING MAN. So disappointing you get any good reviews and still advertise your business. Waste of time and money. Edit (boyfriend): He reached out to me and said he would mail out my screws that he found in his shop. I am glad he continued to search for my screws even after my laptop left his shop/ my girlfriend left this review. Although I am very upset to have my laptop gone for such an extended period of time, my issue was addressed and my laptop wasnāt broken under his care. Although I didnāt give him a chance to right what was wrong before this review was made, I still stand by most of what was said. My recommendation for anyone reading this? I made the mistake of trying to doctor my own phone and um....yeah well uh, thank God for professionals. I wasn't very sure what the problem was with my phone and so I looked up Clark through Google for phone repair. Short distance from the house. From the second I got there he had this look of professional on his face. He was handed my phone to take a look at it and within a matter of about 10-15 minutes he already knew what the problem was. I obviously destroyed the port trying to clean it. We went through a very simple yet go around type temporary fix until my shipment order comes in that he himself put in for. He knew the part, basic arrival date, how to get it done, all the while maintaining a friendly yet professional composure. He did everything in his many years of experience to go through and find out exactly what the problem was without any hesitation. Trust me, the man knows what he is doing. I was told that I would get a call back in twenty minutes, never got a call. I called earlier today and was told I would get a call back in two hours, that call never came. I called again six hours later. He got smart and told me to come get my computer because he didnāt have time to work on it. The worker said it was because he didnāt have the password, although it was taken at intake. I got no service and no refund. I had to file a complaint with the BBB. Right now I have no computer either because you threatened your worker not to give it to me in front of your customer and told me to leave.Your reply is totally untrue and I will let the proper people handle each part of the process.
