Came in with the intention of trading in my vehicle for a truck. I asked for them to appraise my car and they said no, I had to have a vehicle picked out and have everything on paper first. Strange, but whatever. I picked out the one I wanted, and got a price I was willing to pay for it. Ben asked for my key and said he'll be right back. I thought he was going to have it brought into their shop to get looked at. He didn't come back for over 20 minutes and asked for my pay off amount on my current car. A few minutes later, he came back with an appraisal that was insanely undervalued. Apparently they think it's okay to just take your car on a joy ride without bring you with. They offered me $1500, the car is have in it's current condition is retailing on average at about $9,000. When I asked why they are offering me such a low trade, he gave me a bunch of run around and said that there were issues with the car. It needed new tires, which is bull because I just had them replaced last summer, he also said something was wrong with my front end, which was news to me. There wasn't any issues before. I left promptly after I realized this place was a complete waste of my time. Fast forward to the next morning on my way to work and my front end started to rattle super hard and make a ton of noise. I couldn't believe it. I called them after work and said that there was nothing wrong with my car before the appraisal, I asked for a manger, and they just put me on the phone with the same sales person I saw, I also told him the problem, he froze up and forwarded me to a manager. She then told me that there is no way they did any damage because the route they take for test drives wouldn't hurt my car. The guy who appraised my car was the GSM and he wasn't there. She said she would talk to him in the morning and they would call me back to discuss it. Did they call back? Of course not. I am under the impression that they were intentionally rough with my vehicle so they could offer me less, and now they are dodging me. There is a good chance I have to waste even more time and take legal action. DO NOT COME HERE.
EDIT: The general manager called me within 10 minutes of posting this review. He said he wasn't aware of the issue until my review. The most notable thing I heard in our conversation was "I would be very careful driving a car like your's with high miles so I didn't break anything, because I wouldn't want to have to walk back". Not a single apology for my experience, only justification for the appraisal, and telling me I'm wrong. I asked him why he didn't bring me with for the appraisal. He said they never do that because he is two busy to take those extra steps. I asked for their business insurance information and he said there is no way that he is going to give it to me. Absolutely fantastic...
Read moreIm not a fan of the Pine City Eide location.
Im trading my vehicle in at a dealership in Iowa today. I just had to drive a little or dig to find a dealership that had more trade in value and they are giving me $6500. Even the dealership I originally purchased the vehicle from offered $5500 for a trade in They just didn't have a vehicle I was interested in, hence why I'm at a dealership in Iowa.
The sales rep Laurie was amazing...but your service manager or whatever his title is made me feel like I had no value in my trade in and he didn't have or provide the proper services to me. I've never felt so low balled in my life. He offered me $2500. His approach on the car report.... the first report is a free report you guys used should I had severe structural damage that report provided miss information on my car. I wonder how many customers you guys have pushed out your door because of that report. The 2nd report which was from car fax showed the minimal damage information and at that point he was going to honor that report. So he offered me $3500. You guys need to not use your "free" car reporting. Please keep in mind i have a clean car fax report from when i purchased the vehicle and i have never been in an accident. The best part I showed interest in another vehicle, it was at your St. Cloud location....my choice from your service manager is to drive to St. Cloud or you were going to require a "non refundable" deposit. At that point I was just ready to get out of the dealership.
Best suggestion for Laurie to find a different dealership to work at she deserves better and you will never have the proper sales coming through that door with that service manager. This dealership definitely had the "good old boys club" going on....
Again Laurie rocked and provided alot of support. He sucked.
I should have looked at some of the other reviews before going to...
Read moreIn January 2023 I have purchased my 2016 Chevy Malibu from Eide Chrysler in pine city MN. Couple days after my purchase of my vehicle I received a call from my lending company (Americredit) about some of the features on my car. They had asked if I had certain features including blind spot alert, lane change assist, forward collision alert, and front and rear parking sensors. I was in my car at the time and told them that my vehicle did not have any features. Later that day I got a phone call from Troy in the business office being very disrespectful and yelling at me that I needed to call my lending company (Americredit) and tell them that my vehicle did have these features because if I didn’t they wouldn't receive their money from my purchase. I have brought up the issue with them however when I went into Eide Chrystal I had requested 2 things being my credit application and also asked for the NADA book out sheet. They refuse to show me my credit app they can’t seem to find it or one employee told me that they don’t keep them after 40 days. When I went home and looked over the book out sheet I realized they gave me the window sticker from the manufacturer showing it as a base model. I had to go back to Eide requesting the correct book out paper they did give me the correct one. When looking over the correct NADA book out sheet that’s where it showed Eide Chrysler is powerbooking my vehicle they committed fraud by adding features to my vehicle to raise its value. I want this deal unwound immediately and my original down payment of $2,000 back and every monthly payments I have made already. They refuse to admit to what they did and haven’t received any calls about...
