Read moreI write this review with a heavy heart. My husband, one year old son and I just moved to Lincoln Place last summer. We were so excited to have a bowling alley so close to home. We have been there a dozen times before. Always enjoyed our experience. Staff was always friendly and place always clean. We would have been life long customers if not for our most recent experience.
We walked into the place just before 5 on a Sunday. We were greeted the same way by the sweet young girl at the desk, given our shoes and our lane. An older lady mopping a few lanes down started scolding the young girl about where we were sitting. The girl apologetically asked us to shift to a different table, explaining there we're leagues about to arrive. No big deal at all, we gladly did so. A moment later the girl asked us if she could move our lane all together. Absolutely we didn't want to inconvenience anyone so we had no problem with that. As we were settling into our new lane the older women started yelling at the young girl about now we are gonna walk on her wet floor and we can't bowl here because the leaves are coming. The girl stuck up for as we explained we just wanted to bowl a quick game or 2. My husband just wanted to try out his new ball and we had our infant with us so it was to be a short visit. But the older women wasn't having it.
I understand leagues are big income. We would have never came at that time if we knew. It wasn't why we couldn't bowl it was how that women went about it. Talking about us while we are standing right there making us feel so uncomfortable and unwanted. She was very disrespectful for no reason at all. The young girl didn't deserve to be talked to like that and we didn't deserve to be talked about like that. She could have come up to us kindly and explained the situation to us and we would have gladly left and come back at a different time. I've read some other reviews and apparently this is a regular occurrence as far as people being treated poorly over league play. So sadly I doubt this women would ever take a better approach. Just wanted to warn others and save them an embarrassing or...
Read moreI’ve been coming here for years as they’ve changed names, management, etc. I’ve bowled here with my family, my friends, and even got talked into leagues. I currently bowl with a league AND with my family for fun. The staff here is NEXT level accommodating and kind. John and DeeDee are among my favorite people, they go the EXTRA mile every time. The lanes are well kept, staff is friendly and encouraging. My biggest complaint is that it’s cashless which has nothing to do with the lovely staff so it has no bearing on my review but be aware before you show up and complain. Also, if you are not someone who bowls regularly please note that if you are coming during league season, call ahead state the maximum amount of people you anticipate showing up and realize that sometimes the availability will be limited and it’s nothing personal but how these places make consistent money, please be kind and do not behave in an entitled and...
