Shop N Go — Restaurant in Pittsburgh

Honestly, I can't say enough good things about this place. I don't care what time of day, or what day it is it's amazing. First when you walk in it doesn't matter who is working you get treated like family. This in and of ititse is a huge selling point for me. I don't go anywhere near often enough for them to know or even remember me. Yet, every time we walk in it's always the same. Second their food is out of this world good! Tonight I got the pot roast dinner special. It had a ton of meat, and I got to pick between the mashed potatoes and homemade french fries. They gave me a nice taste of summer during this colder weather. They taste just like the Potato Patch fries at Kennywood! I ate until full and still have enough for dinner tomorrow. All this was $9. My dinner partner had the warm corned beef sandwich. The bread was a nice big piece, and the amount of meat on it was unbelievable! He also said it was awesome and he really enjoyed it. Let me again just touch back on the service. The workers are always great, and tonight was no exception. Except the woman who waited on us tonight was even nicer and we had a great conversation while waiting for the food. They have booths to eat in or you and get it to go, and the prices are great! I know we paid for all our food, but it was so cheap I felt like we were given one for free. Everything you are doing is exactly right, please don't change it! We heard good things about the food so, we decided to stop and give it a try. Sadly, we never got any because, we were never waited on. There were a few people (other then us) in the store, on line in front of us. They all got there cigarettes very quickly, while we looked at the menu. We decided on a pretty large order and stepped up to the counter to place it. The woman behind the counter spent a few min talking to another customer and we waited patiently. Then she began to walk over to take our order (so she did see us waiting), but the woman in the back asked her something. At that point the employee behind the counter decided that it was more important to go to the back of the store and tend to coffee (that nobody was waiting on), rather then take our order. Used to shop here & buy food from here all the time until….

One day I went in early morning to get one of the breakfast rolls that they supposedly make fresh every morning. Wrong. not fresh. They’re on a display to where anyone with unwashed & dirty workers hands can touch & grab them. (Mind you there is a pair of food tongs you can grab one of the rolls with) & did I also mention I seen their “regular customers” do this all the time every morning? like seriously there is a pair of tongs for you to grab your food with & instead of grabbing the food with those, you grab a roll with your dirty bare hands? absolutely disgusting. can’t imagine how many people have gotten sick eating from here. definitely won’t be buying & eating anything...
