Typically very friendly associates, rarely much of delay at checkout, and they still believe in offering paper bags and carrying them out to the car if you so desire .. The hours have always been a personal peeve of mine because rushing out for butter and baking soda for pre-bedtime chocolate chip cookies with the kids at 10 pm on a Saturday night just isn't happening when they closed at 9 ..

They carry a decent selection of different food items, however size of store and geographical location limit their on hand stock and severely effect the diversity of spoil sensitive produce, i.e. fruits which aren't common to the north west and seasonal/harvest vegetables .. Also, prices on many of the common items are substantially marked up and some items like spices or baking mixes, pet foods, personal hygiene products and coffee seem to be hiked nearly 2 fold vs chain stores an hours drive away .. Locals and distant county residents alike all know the nickname for the store...

My family shopped here for the first time today and unfortunately, it will be the last. My husband is a retired veteran. Due to medical reasons, he can't wear a mask as mandated. The cashier gave him a hard time and was very rude to him because he didn't have a mask on. He offered to show his VA card but she didn't seem to care that he was a disabled veteran. Its sad to think that veterans are being treated so rudely over a mask when there is a legitimate reason for not wearing one.
