The Dew Duck Inn has an excellent website to access its information. Below are additional comments about our recent stay on 9/2025. We stayed here for a week and chose the Apartment Suite (please read the apartment description – it’s very accurate), which is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment with a full-sized kitchen, a king bed in the main room, and a queen bed in the guest bedroom. We felt right at home in the kitchen immediately, which has everything you’ll need for either an extended or short stay. There is good separation between the bedrooms, although the walls are not well-insulated enough to block noise between them. The main bedroom and bathroom are quite spacious (check the room’s pictures as they are accurate as well). The second bedroom does not have an en-suite bathroom. Know that these guests will have to go through the kitchen/living room area to reach the second bathroom (which we didn’t find a big deal). The living room has a nice big screen TV (55” maybe) with Dish Network and Roku streaming. All in all, we’re giving the Dew Duck Inn five stars. We found more things that we liked than not. Below is a feedback list we hope will help. Opportunities for the maintenance folks: The doors to the main bedroom and to the en-suite bathroom bind when trying to close. This is an easy fix (bending the hinge tabs in the right direction). One of the sliding doors to the shower in the main bedroom needs to be fixed. Right now, there is a cumbersome make-shift curtain. The shower knob for the tub/shower off the living room is stripped, and it's hard to turn for hot water (an easy fix). The living room could use an additional comfortable chair for watching TV. Refrigerator has no ice maker, but it is noisy as if it’s trying to make ice.

Final note - Having the two dedicated parking spots right off the unit is...

It was OK but could have been much better for what we paid for each of our rooms. To be fair, I was grateful to have a bed to sleep in during a long motorcycle ride and that it had. My buddy's room seemed to be in a little better condition than mine when we compared notes.||The motel is right on the highway and I was worried during the night that my bike was completely exposed. The room was OK but not great and the noise of the highway not overly loud overnight. The bedside table was dirty with stuff left by the previous guests (very unsavory). The water pressure in the shower was poor and not very hot. The hanger rack / shelf that was screwed into the wall next to the TV fell off the wall when I hung my pants using the provided hangers. It was clear this had happened many times based on all the other screw holes where it had been installed in the past. (All someone needed to do was use a butterfly anchor instead of a cheap plug that has no way of holding up the rack, much less with stuff hanging on it.) The batteries were used up on both remote controls required to watch any TV and since there is no employee on-location, the person that answered the service phone number said they'd bring new ones out in about 15 minutes. I was able to make things work somewhat by mixing batteries and operating each remote one at a time and after 25 minutes of waiting, I called back and told them not to come out after all as it was a rainy night and I was able to get by.||Em's cafe across the street is pretty good for lunch and dinner, but they do not serve breakfast. We ended up riding to Thompson Falls about 30 minutes away to eat after...

I saw the good reviews here, so thought I'd give it a shot. When we drove up I was underwhelmed by the outside. It could use a little sprucing up. Once we got into the room I was pleasantly surprised. Cute decor, smelled great, super clean, nice linens. Bed was a little hard for my liking, but my husband liked it. (Everyone has different 'firmness' preferences, impossible for a hotel to please everyone)

I liked the automated check-in, more hotels need to start doing that. Do be aware, if you're out road-tripping 24 hours before your check-in and don't have good cell data service, you might not receive your check-in info email which includes your door code. No worries, call them up and they'll text it to you 😊 Dog friendly as well.

My only real complaint is the AC unit was quite loud. I sleep like a rock, so whatever, but my husband sleeps very lightly, so we had to keep it off for the night.

We enjoyed our short stay. Much better than where we ended up in Butte...

Only gave a 4 do to the musty smell & the front window coverings. The place was very clean, well kept. Bed was fairly comfy. There are plenty of outlets to charge all my camera gear. The cleaning ladies were so super nice!! Kara & Jocelyn, was super helpful!! Ok, now about the window. The blinds do not cover the whole window. So someone outside at night could see right into the bathroom. A broken corner lined up with the bed, so you would be seen from outside at night. There were no curtains on that window...so as soon as it was light, the room was lit up. No sleeping in. The gazebo could definitely use some chairs! Not much use without them. The bench in front of my room #9. I was afraid to set on. Definitely needs new wood and tighten down. I'd definitely stay there again. But a different room, that hopefully isn't musty smelling. Great price, great location! Highly recommend a stay here. Plus, there is a super great little restaurant right across the street!!

I stayed two nights at this motel and liked - my room came with two twin sized beds. I was a little bit nervous at first as I was staying alone and there was no one in the office. They utilize self check-in with keyless entry. There is a foldable table you can find by the wall. It is convenient and easy to use. I would recommend this motel to anyone visiting this beautiful Plains.
