Being a Veteran and belonging to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, I like to visit different VFW's while traveling.
We stopped at this VFW and were welcomed as soon as we stepped through the door. We talked with patrons, the bartender and the Quartermaster. They were all very nice.
The building needs upgrades but we were reassured that they are in the planning. The building has a hall with a stage, gambling machines, pool table and a bowling alley. The bowling ally can be rented for free in advance. The club also has medical equipment for check-out.
They offer support for Veterans. The club always has something going on or something their planning. It is an active VFW that includes the community in most things they do.
Although we were just visiting the area, I would love to go back and have a few drinks, talk to the old timers and maybe even bowl...
