Complete ripoff. I dropped off two rings, one to be resized from 8 to 9 and another to have a cloudy gemstone replaced. I was quoted a price and an estimate on completion date. I went in about 9 days later after they called me (the time estimate was a week) to pick up my rings. The resized ring didn't fit. I asked the woman to double check the size and she kept saying it was definitely 9 and I must have eaten something recently that made my finger swell. She finally checked the size after I persisted and the ring was not sized correctly. The jeweler sized it to 8.75 instead of 9, and their ring sizer tool was also incorrect, measuring 9.25 instead of 9. The second ring that was supposed to just have a gem replaced was also sized to 9 by mistake. The gem they replaced was set much further down into the ring than the surrounding gems and stood out very obviously. I was told it would be over $400 to make it flush with the rest. I was shocked and very disappointed. I was told that nobody was there to fix the rings to I had no choice but to take them. I was blown away that she still charged me full price for the gem replacement and the ring sizing, and she even charged me for the second resizing that they weren't supposed to even do in the first place. The total was much higher than I was originally quoted at drop-off. I wasn't even given a receipt afterwards. Luckily I paid with a credit card and will definitely be disputing the charge. All in all I'm incredibly disappointed and feel scammed. I recommend that you find a more...
Read more!! I wouldn’t go here for anything more then a battery replacement. Went here earlier this year for just battery and had nothing to complain about. Easy quick cheap, it was like $4 bucks I believe. BUT went back there a month ago because I accidentally damaged the watch and clasp while at the beach one day. I needed a new clasp, new battery, and (they said)water damage repairs. They asked me if price is a concern & I told them it’s sentimental to me so I don’t care what it costs I just want it done properly. They called me about 2 weeks later saying it’s all set they replaced the battery and clasp (and didn’t fix the water damage issue so although they manually set it to the current correct time, I am still unable to set the time myself when the clocks go back/fwd. I went to pick it up anyways and it was so big it spun around my wrist. I had them get a smaller clasp to match the size one that was originally on there. 4 visits and a total month later I picked it up, still a bit big, it still spins around my wrist but not as bad,the water damage wasn’t fixed. They didn’t say they even tried. The inside of the watch face under the glass is dirty and dusty. At this point I paid the whopping $13 to just get it back in my possession and out of their establishment. Will be going somewhere else to get clasp replaced again to an appropriate size, and the repair done. Also their normal hours...
Read moreDo not trust this business with your jewelry. I did, until I encountered an issue a week after picking up my wifes ring. She was getting her sentimental ring resized from a 6.5 to an 8. The ring is very thin and would need professional jewelry service for resizing. After about 2 weeks of waiting, the ring was ready. The lady working showed the ring and said the total cost to resize is $105. LESS than 1 week after my wife wearing her ring - it broke at the thinnest point. (Ring had been worn 10+ years w/ no break) We brought it back to Joey's Jewelry in hopes for them to fix the issue that happened 6 days after pick up. Joey told us that he can fix it but it will cost more then the ring itself... (100% stretched) He mentioned that he was not the one who did the work on the ring but he would do the work himself if we decided to get it fixed by him. Joey gave us a price to fix the ring that was damaged from him originally "resizing"(stretching) it. If you care about your jewelry - take...
