BC Big Booms — Local services in Platte City

Supporting small town local businesses and family. What a great shop who also supports other local businesses including The Farmer's House. Awesome location, indoor with AC, baskets/wagons for use, clear labels and sections with a very knowledgeable owner who's fav holiday is of course the 4th. She escorted me to her fav works and described their effects. Along with her most pieces have a QR code you can scan with your phone and watch all the fireworks at work. Lots of variety and even have some cute shirts and hats, earrings, and cups. So organized, i love it! They take cash, card, chip, tap. They also have a Plinko game! They have lighters and reusable totes at checkout.

Hours were 10-8.

Open all year long. Handicap accessible parking in front, no steps - all flat and level sidewalk and entry. I assume there's a bathroom but not sure on public use. I'm sure you need only ask the very nice and helpful staff.

A Truly Wonderful Experience at BC Big Booms!

I visited BC Big Booms to pick up some fireworks for our Diwali celebrations, and it was such a delightful experience! Everything was so well organized — every section had a wide variety of fireworks, from vibrant displays to kid-friendly options. The owner takes her business seriously and even attends conferences to keep the inventory updated with the newest and safest fireworks, which really shows in the selection.

She personally walked me through each section, explaining what every firework does, and her son was so kind in helping me choose fun fireworks for the kids. They were both incredibly welcoming and made me feel like family. I’ll definitely be coming back here every year!

Not sure where to even begin with how wonderful our experience was with Rebecca and her team. Her excitement to assist us was next level, they took the kiddos to the treasure chest and pac-man game so we could focus on what we came there to do-SHOP! Rebecca gave us tons of great tips and insight as to what to buy and what gave us the biggest BANG for our BUCK! The QR codes on the tags so you can watch exactly what you are getting is next level!! Never have we had such a great experience when shopping for fireworks. We will be back...
