Trex Mart #17 — Local services in Platte City

I regularly drop here between Lees Summit and Maryville, as it’s the perfect in between point. Found myself with half a flat and my lower bumper valance falling down and dragging on the pavement between exit 25 and exit 20. Swapped my tire then slumped down the side of the road going 40 with my hazards on, then I rolled into the ole reliable parking lot of the trex mart. Seeing the exit 20 sign felt sorta biblical, not gonna lie. I’m a 19 year old girl and was driving alone so I’m pretty careful about where I stop for gas and help, and I knew I could trust trex mart. Got inside, starving with dirty hands, looked down their auto care aisle and didn’t see what I hypothesized I needed: some zip ties. Instead got myself some food. Hard boiled eggs (don’t judge), pudding, some water, and then I mustered the courage to ask if they sold zip ties. All attendants were helpful, Austin with a positive and friendly amount of sass that lowered my stress a bit, and they acquired me some zip ties. I fixed my car in the parking lot after my lunch, then I was on my way. I love trex mart and its employees, their gas is a fair price, their bathrooms are clean, and I was glad that I got car...

And then I hit a wrong button and my last review was sent without explaining my encounter with Lilly. A young lady making money as a server in the Country Cafe. She immediately could tell I wasn't in a right frame of mind. Once I told her I only had 8 dollars she immediately looked for something that fit my budget. Never once making me feel less than. I never told her my situation and let hwr know kust how desperate i was only eating once in three days. I never asked her ambitions or what she was planning in life but I know this, if someone, or., a company or a school doesn't nab her up they are not smart! She is going places not just because she is compassionate but sometimes you just can tell about people. She's special. Very specail guys.Thank you Lilly. I wish I had, back in the day, a team of Lillys. But we fall fall when we fall. This truck stop is new and full of stuff from snacks to drinks. I tried the cappuccino machine and wasn't impressed. I thought it tasted watered down but thats just me I like the sweeter drink. The middle part of the truck stuff is loaded with all kinds of items. They have toys, items for all kinds, jams, jellies, on the road foods and stuff. There's a row towards the back that has stuff for people on the go (food, traveling items, clothes and more). The bathrooms have always been clean when we've gone in. They were there cleaning them one day while people used them.

There is also a restaurant called country Cafe attached to the side of the place. It has delicious food and friendly staff. The manager Tony is also funny and easy going. If your looking to stop and eat food on the go I definitely recommend this place. It also has outlets at every table to your able to plug in your electronics. Nice little feature!
