TLDR; great for young kids, amazing teachers, clean studio.
My second daughter has always struggled with different activities we’ve tried to enroll her in. I was very nervous about trying out an art class. (She is 3 & doesn’t usually listen to instructions; but we wanted something structured for her) At the beginning of the semester I expressed my concern to her teachers & they were so understanding & kind. (we are in the pink painters class) As the semester has gone on, I’ve noticed my daughters confidence improve in every aspect of her life, but especially in her interactions with her teachers. She loves her art class so much & the activities are so fun & engaging. The studio is clean & cute. I was originally concerned about the cost, but it has been worth every penny. I wanted to specifically highlight her teachers, miss mikaela & miss kate. they are so wonderful with the kids. they speak kindly to them & know how to keep young kids engaged. they have the kids do a motto each class that says, “my art is awesome, because i am awesome.” & often direct them to find internal validation rather than external validation about what they’ve worked hard on, but still give them praise. They also encourage them to use their imagination to make their art they want. Highly...
Read moreI wanted to like this place but I was not impressed. I signed my son up for the summer session (only because It said they do all these different art mediums and materials and specifically mentioned clay/pottery) that is why I picked this place. This class in my opinion was over priced for what they do. It's a 50 minute class once a week. At the end of class they get to pick between one single skittle or one sticker which I find tacky like at that point don't give them anything... and my son came home with all of his work which consisted of less than 10 art projects period. All either drawings or paintings. Cheap products cheap projects. They talk themselves up a whole lot. There was no clay. I feel like it's paying for a baby-sitter that I didn't need. They then ask you to pay for a program at the end (a printed pamphlet with a picture of the kids and their art) which is crazy to me that that wouldn't be Included in the expensive price in the first place. I wouldn't put my kids in this again. It is way too expensive for the painting they did which my son does already at home with...
Read moreWe LOVE Unicorns, Sprinkles and Art! My son started back when Covid hit so the classes had to move to online. I actually liked that because I'm always wondering what's going on in his classes so I enjoyed the opportunity of watching them with him.
The teacher, Emily Hammerstad, did an amazing job at coming up with projects that were easy for my son to follow along and to have the ability to incorporate his own creativity. I was really impressed with what he was able to accomplish!
He had so much fun returning for this summer's session we wanted to continue for the fall but I was unsure if I was gonna be able to afford it. She had me explain my situation and let us continue at a discounted price! They really care as much about my son continuing his ability of expressing himself thru his art as much as I do. I'm really impressed with this business!
My son LOVES this class and we're both so excited for the next...
