The staff is amazing. There is never a long wait. All of the veterinarians are very experienced and they honestly care about the animals they are taking care of. I have never met anyone in this office that didn't seem 100% genuine about their love of animals and that is VERY important to me when I'm trusting someone to take care of one of my fur babies. They have been very patient with me when I call in with questions (some of which, I know, are quite ridiculous), they have given excellent advice and suggestions about everything from the safest flea treatments & allergy treatments to the healthiest foods and treats. They have always been open and honest with me about whatever needs to be done to keep my animals healthy and happy. They have always explained everything thoroughly and given me treatment options, I have never once felt that they were trying to push unnecessary treatment or expenses. Giving the best care possible is very clearly their number one priority. This is the only animal hospital I have trusted for over 17 years now. And I have referred many friends, some of whom drive an hour in order to bring their pets here. My daughters and I are vegetarians, we do not use any products that have been tested on animals and our fur babies {a tuxedo cat (7yrs), ragamuffin (3yrs), black cat (2yrs) & a poodle (9yrs)~all rescues} are more than pampered, they have play areas, toy boxes and pretty much the run of the house. Even the cats go out for walks with a harness and leash. Yes, we are the crazy animal lovers that people roll their eyes at, but it goes without saying that the crazy animal lovers are going to be extremely picky about who they trust to take care of the feline and canine members of their family. Five stars just isn't enough to do Pleasant View Animal...
Read moreWith six dogs, three barn cats and three horses we need a great vet in wich we now have. The two brothers that own Pleasant View Animal Hospital are awesome! Great bedside manners and explain everything in detail. Even though our little babies don't care for the vet but the vet is always easy and gentle with them and does his best to put them at ease There's one of the female vets, (I can't think of anyone's name right now and will update when I do recall), that's not as great as we always try and avoid her and specifically ask for one of the brothers. We have a little house dog we had gotten as a puppy and later figured out my little baby girl is blind and during a routine visit for her shots we asked her if she could look at her eyes and ask she did was she a flashlight at her eyes across the room and said "I don't see anything" where are or next visit one of the brothers did an excellent check up and actually explained that her vision problems were neurologic and there wasn't anything he specifically could do but could refer us to a specialist. We always go to the vet to get our FRONTLINE as it comes in a three pack but they give you a fourth for free. We always try to take the dogs and cats to the vet for their rabees shot during the, I think it's either the second or third week of the month of April, when they have their discount during the rabees clinic week. Their prices to spay and neuter aren't too high but we have found St Bethlehem to be less expensive but for everything else we use P.V. Animal Hospital. The front office staff are wonderful. Always pleasant and smiling. Always professional. They always remember our names along with our pets names every time we go in. Can't say enough good...
Read moreBrought our animals here when we moved to PV about 3 years ago. Everything was decent and nice until our second and future visits... then everything started to go downhill. We use to go for routine nail trimmings until we were then being told to trim them ourselves. We then noticed a blood bubble on our dogs neck, they said it wasn't anything and they "would laser it off, if we wanted it gone, but it's no issue"... Then the unexpected happened when our dog had an seizure they were no where to be found. Their emergency number sent you to a hospital in Nashville which charged outrageously just to "see our pet" and not even do anything. Then when we finally left they charged us over $1500 for all the "special" fluids and food our pet needed... and said our animal had a few days to live... but guess what our pet lived and is still alive even years later. Don't trust these doctors or their referrals... they are only out to get money hence why they don't tell you the prices and charge you before you leave. Find a good vet even if it's not close because it will save you more in...
