We are new to town and were driving around and decided to stop in. It was a Friday night around 730. We walked in and it was pretty busy, we took it as a good sign that the food must be amazing. We were told the wait for 2 people was 10-15 min. We said that was fine and asked if we could get a drink from the bar. One really good thing to note about from our visit was the manager. He was working his butt off. Helping the hostess, running food, he made our drinks… he was everywhere doing everything. He seemed like a great manager. We got our drinks and sat at the front and waited to be called. It was about a 15 min wait. We had chips and salsa and queso with chorizo to start. The queso was very good. also the margaritas were great! Usually there’s too much sour mix but here they were perfect. My husband ordered a chicken quesadilla, refried beans and 2 beef enchiladas. All of his food came out first and was cold. The quesadilla wasn’t cut so it looked like a large taco. He hated the enchiladas and didn’t end up eating them. The beans were terrible and watery and cold. We didn’t touch those more than one bite to try them. My food didn’t come out until about 15-20 min after his. I ended up eating one of his enchiladas. I thought it was ok. Not something I’d order but ok, even tho it was cold. He was of course finished with his quesadilla by the time my food came out. I had a bite of mine but decided to just box it to go. I had wanted dessert but decided I’d skip it. I had a chicken chimichanga. The one bite I took was good. I’ll eat the rest tomorrow. I’d come here again to give it another shot but maybe during lunch or earlier in the week when the kitchen isn’t so busy. We also noticed the table next to us only received half of their food and had to ask where the rest was after waiting a while. Like I said it was busy so I’m sure the kitchen was swamped. Our total was $50 plus a tip. I thought it was reasonably priced. Although I was surprised to see the queso was $10 for a pretty small bowl. Another positive to note is how cool the artwork is throughout the restaurant and just how beautiful it is in general. Something funny we noticed tho was they play new country music which was unexpected. Usually there’s Mexican music playing at a Mexican restaurant. It kind of threw off the...
Read moreIf I could give less than one star to this establishment I would. Not only was I greeted with attitude, but also the worst salsa I have ever tasted. As a white woman, this salsa was borderline offensive. I have never had a mariana mixed salsa with no flavor, until now, unfortunately. I also had to experience the watery cheese dip with no flavor as well. When ordering my food, I was questioned twice simply because I asked for beans added to my vegetarian burrito and guacamole, sour cream, and lettuce on the side as it was the only dish in the vegetarian menu without it. I never received any of the sides (or the rice the dish comes with according to the menu), even after being told I would be charged more for it. Then after flagging down my waiter to ask for my requested items, I mentioned my burrito had no beans. After some attitude, he returned and told me that it did. After I picked it apart without seeing anything but some slight bean juice, he grabbed my knife, showed me where a singular bean was while arguing with me over how refried beans work and then asked what side items I had previously told him were missing. At this point, I’m extremely disappointed in not only the food, but beyond that, how I was treated as another human being. The lack of disrespect, arguing with me and other guests at my table about their food, as well as taking my utensils to point out what was ACTUALLY a mushroom has made this the worst restaurant experience I have ever had as someone who IS A SERVER and has worked at a many high and low end restaurants. If you have no dignity or self respect, I’d recommend eating here, but do not expect any respect, quality food, or attention management who try to fix the situation. By the way, this was my first meal in 24 hours after driving from out of town and my first impression...
Read moreWon't be coming back. Kids meals include a soda yet they want to charge full price to substitute a milk... ask the rude waitress (rude from the beginning, she must be having a bad day) to ask the manager how much of a upcharge it would be for a milk.... got the meal, kids ate their meal, no word back from her, asked her again "he's busy" so I asked for her to send him out. He comes out a while later, asked him how much for milk & how much for a cup of soda, same price and yet he still wanted to charge the full price... then he offered to charge half price cause he doesn't understand the concept of substituting a 1:1 cost product. After more discussion, he says this one time he would let the kids have their milk "free".... been sitting here for a good hour and a half total or so... still no milk... waitress came by asking if we need anything else, I said still the milk and she literally looked away and walked away. Oh, and to top if off, one of our meals were partially ice cold inside (burrito). Also, customers waiting to be seated while half the tables...
