I'm really disappointed with my recent experiences at JC nails. The pricing is inconsistent and feels dishonest. I was initially quoted one price, but then charged significantly more at checkout. When I questioned it, they claimed I "misheard," even though others with me heard the original quote as well. As a minor paying with my own money and going in without a parent, I felt like I was being taken advantage of, as if they thought I wouldn't speak up for myself.
Beyond the pricing issues, the service itself was subpar. During one visit, I was cut multiple times - four to be exact, each drawing blood. The nail technician blamed me for moving, which is ridiculous, especially since many of the cuts happened while she was shaping my nails with a manual file, not even close to my actual nail. To add insult to injury, she then told me I wasn't allowed to talk as i was supposedly moving too much! My nails and hands were also left severely hurting after the appointment.
On a previous visit, I was charged $5 extra for square-shaped nails. However, during this last visit, another technician said they don't charge extra for different shapes. The inconsistency is frustrating. While I will admit my nails looked good in the end, the poor service and questionable business practices make it hard to...
Read moreI went here for the first time with my family because of the stars this place had and was very disappointed in so many ways. I got a pedicure and had an ingrown nail I asked if they could take it out before we got started and she said yes. While getting my feet done she scrubbed my feet about 3 sec. On each foot. Didn’t cut no cuticles. While “taking my ingrown out” it was the most painful thing ever. I always get ingrowns and when they take them out it’s always painful but this time I could tell she didn’t know what she was doing, she was using incorrect tools. Everything looked used. She said she took it out she then was painting my nails and was getting mad when I asked her for different colors. My partner got the most expensive pedicure and the person didn’t know what to do she kept asking her coworker what’s the next step. Everything was so unprofessional and unsanitary. After leaving my toe was in so much pain, a few days after it was so swollen and in pain, I called them to see what could be done and they was absolutely rude and said they could not do anything about it. This is not even half of things that happened I never write reviews and I felt the need to do so. This was the first and last time I will come here, don’t even know how they...
Read moreI had a frustrating experience at this nail salon. While the technicians were incredibly kind and welcoming, the quality of my nails was far from what I expected. I opted for a dip and gel manicure with designs. I paid around $120 for my service, but the next days, the polish began to chip and the deigns peeled. I had to return three times within two weeks to have the issues fixed. To make matters worse, one of my nails broke while I was on vacation.
The second time I return I was not asked to pay but the final time I reírme to just changed my nails, I was asked to pay the full service charge. The gel also began to peel within a week. I was really hoping for a discount or at least some consideration for the inconvenience, but I was charged in full. The staff was apologetic, but the repeated issues with my nails and the lack of compensation left me feeling disappointed.
The picture with the nails done is the first time I went. Unfortunately I deleted the version where the gel chipped and peeled (gold and flowers came off).
The technicians were genuinely sweet and professional, but the quality of the service didn’t live up to expectations, and the quality of the nails made the overall experience frustrating. Unfortunately, I won’t...
