Overall, decent park. Not many competitors, but if we knew vortex springs rv park included the park passes in their prices we would have stayed there. This place is clean & there was a pig wondering the site. Pig seems friendly, bit 1 ladies rearend, but he has no teeth. We heard gun shots in distance. Oh & dollar general is in walking distance if you forget anything.
Now for the -2 stars. We used an entire day working on our RV power cord. We have a brand new 2019 Stryker toy hauler that we've used probably
Read moreWe stayed two nights at the Ponce de Leon RV park in Ponce de Leon, FL and will definitely return. The rates were very reasonable, the service was great and the facilities were clean and nice. Most of the sites are gravel pull-throughs with some back-ins. There were a limited number of concrete sites as well.
There is a large pavilion with a large open area with a few picnic tables…guests has fun visiting with friends and other guests while we were there, playing games into the evening. In a back part of the pavilion is the laundry area (we did not use it), it was clean and there were plenty of machines. Next to the laundry area we’re the men’s and women’s bathroom with shower. The bathrooms has been recently remodeled and we’re very clean.
Management is adding a bunch of new sites and improving the park. The owner could not have been nicer or a better host.
Ponce de Leon RV park is conveniently located just off I-10 between Tallahassee and Pensacola. Road noise was not an issue for us. There are lots of activities within a reasonable distance: we golfed at a local course that was just about 15 minutes away. E also went to Panama City Beach for a visit and dinner. Ponce de Leon State Park is less than half mile from...
Read moreI stayed here one night. The problem I had was getting into the park. Your GPS can definitely lead you into a sketchy way. I saw someone else posted the same. However, I did not get a heads up phone call and it wasn't on the email I received. After driving all day, this caused me some anxiety. I got in the park and I was looking for an office, but there was not one. Ugh. Frustration level was pretty high as I start digging through emails trying to find my space number. Just be prepared and you shouldn't have an issue.
The park itself is pretty decent. Nice long lots, quiet, grass, and trees. Lots of nice walking space. The spot I stayed in had the concrete slab, but most are gravel. There's a dollar store next door, within walking distance. People were friendly.
I would recommend 1. a sign that says no office, just park it (something more than welcome, come on in) 2. dog poop bins, or garbage cans for waste disposal. They have dumpsters in one location but when you're walking the dog and it goes on the other side of the park, I really don't want to carry the waste all the way back there, and 3. add directions into their automated email. This would be very helpful for your...
