Selkirk Glass & Cabinets — Local services in Ponderay

We had a new kitchen designed with Selkirk and had a great experience. Karin helped us design the cabinets and gave us great advice on the types and sizes of cabinets (since we had never done a remodel before-we needed advice). She was very professional and stayed in contact with us throughout the entire process. She brought in a cabinet installer, Jasen, who was amazing, on time, and a diligent worker. We also bought a counter top, those installers were also great. There were a couple hick-ups during the start to finish process -mostly that was really beyond their control, but Selkirk, the cabinet installers, and counter top manufacturer all made sure they did everything they could to ensure we were happy with the end result. I read a couple yelp reviews that said the owners were rude, i found the exact opposite to be true. In fact, i locked my keys in my car 1 day and they offered to drive us home (30 minutes 1 way) in the middle of a work day. Anyway, I would surely use them again. Professional, kind, honest and if a mistake is made-(we all have been guilty of that) they (or those they contract with) own it and fix it-no excuses. That to me is the most important after...

Selkirk does a fine job on most everything and they have a good selection. We built our home and our contractor directed us to Selkirk. Most recently however, I had a cabinet that needed new glass. They gave me an cost of $330. I thought it was way high so I checked around and got the same glass replacement for $100. My suggestion is to shop around. I try to shop locally but this is simply price gouging. I can only imagine how much we might have saved if we shopped around during the chaotic house build.

Fantastic experience with Selkirk Glass & Cabinets. We had several large windows that were replaced and the team was professional and relatively quick, being they were so large. I noticed that the ladder left smudges near the top of my vaulted ceiling that I couldn't reach and gave them a quick call. They installers came back immediately to clean the walls, and they were nice throughout the process. The customer service on both the sales side and installation were top notch. We will certainly have more glass needs in the future and feel confident...
