Sawgrass Pet Resort — Local services in Ponte Vedra Beach

Have you taken your Pup to Sawgrass Pet Resort Yet? It’s like the Ponte Vedra Inn and Spa or Marriot Spa but for dogs. No joke. Actually, I think it might be even better. What other pet resort do you know that offers a la cart add on services such as pup ice cream , personal story reading, nature walks, bubble parties, birthday celebrations and special holiday activities for your animals? Every time I go there, I see tons of smiles on parents and pups faces. It’s like a preschool for your dogs.

They offer day care services and boarding for all sizes, from luxury suits to small dog kennels, there is a place for all sizes. They have large LED screens located throughout the facility that have crackling fire place (in winter) or ocean screen savers (in summer)playing on the television along with ambient sounds or music playing softly in the background. There is a groomer on sight, who together with her team, can outdo Edward Sizzorhands that’s how talented they are! From Nature Trails to at least 8 specialized outdoor play yards to Trunk or Treat parties and hand made personalized crafts and treats on holidays, you will feel like you are part of a happy family at Sawgrass Pet Resort.

And why does it always smell so good when you walk through the doors? Seriously? Inquiring minds want to know how they do it? Are there magical fairies waving essential oils through the air?

Does your dog need training or physical therapy? They even offer that!!! A one stop shop for everything pup. Can it get any better? Why yes it can. One last perk I want to mention (there are so many that I’m sure I’m leaving some out), there is a wonderful Vet clinic right next door. You can rest easy and have peace of mind that your pup will receive the best of care should a vet be required during their stay. That assurance makes taking vacations so much more enjoyable.

My pups have been going to SPR for a while, and I have always loved their services. They care and know them as if they are their own, are always accommodating and responsive.

They have recently expanded their services to include training and grooming, and it truly is a one stop shop. The trainer, Monika, works wonders. I have two Pomeranians that are so friendly and sweet, but unpredictable, whether it was reacting to leashed dogs, running out of the house, barking at dogs on TV. Being 4 years old, I had written it off as being part of the lively breed and I would just have to manage it. Monika came in and worked with them consistently, in many different environments and scenarios. She truly understands dogs and their behaviors, and is never harsh or punishing. Most importantly, she worked with us to train and arm us with the skills needed to ensure they are continually trained, stimulated, and have structure throughout their day. They no longer react to other dogs or other stimuli, patiently wait at the door, don't pull on the leash, and are just generally well behaved dogs! You can tell they are also happier and more at peace, which brings us peace....

Our Golden Retriever, Tucker, has been attending Sawgrass Pet Resort from the day it opened. Tucker is ALWAYS extremely excited to get to SPR and to see the incredible energetic team of professionals that welcome him for an exciting day of interactive fun and activities. The wonderful photos and videos we’ve seen where Tucker has a huge “smile” on his face brings a big smile to ours! We’ve had first hand experience of the attention, fun and care our dog has received over these many months. When we see the daily posts of fun photos and videos of all the great doggies..it’s clear..they ALL share in the wonderful experience Tucker has at SPR!
