Nina and her princess assistant are both wonderful. My Marvyn 🐶 has come into Nina’s at 6 months and now 8 months. While he is a strong fella- each time, they cut his nails to perfection. I came in today (January 12,204) for a quick nail trim - they seemed to be busy. The one girl who usually cuts Marvyns nail said she had time, until the other two - one with purple hair, chimed in and suddenly they are fully booked at 1pm until tomorrow. It actually depressed me and gave me anxiety/OCD the way the girls treated Marvyn (my dog) and I today- shunning us away so fast. Nina’s is the only groomers I go back to. If they wanted more $$$ to prioritize him, as in a full bath not just nail trim- I would have done that. It’s business and friendship- the businesses I come back to. I won’t be back tomorrow - as anyone who understands work, life, and scheduling not everyone has time to work around their schedule of a full 24 hours - I will not even be in town. I wanted to come here today and I picked up such a mean judgmental energy I have never felt in Nina’s before. If marvyn is not important to care for her, neither is my business. Sorry Nina’s, wonderful shop- and two girls who can’t handle working there. The curly hair girl ALWAYS has time for Marvyns nails. It doesn’t take long. Just two rude co workers assisting her today. Thank you. I had fun promoting Nina’s and wanted to see them on Instagram. That was my plan actually after his grooming to post on my Instagram for their marketing + word of mouth (I have just 7,000 followers). After those attitudes, why would I. I will now have to go to another business. Very distressing, mean, and heartbreaking for my dog and I to be turned away in such an obviously rude discriminatory way. Read moreI looked for a new groomer after Mom and Pop's in Punta Gorda closed. I was somewhat dejected after touring a couple establishments and being thoroughly underwhelmed by the staff and facilties. On the off chance that Google was wrong and that Mom and Pop's wasn't actually closed, I stopped by. The place was very much closed but I pulled a business card for Nina's off the glass, where a a dozen or so had been taped. At a loss for where else to try I headed back across the bridge to Nina's. I couldn't be gladder that I took a chance. This is a small storefront in the Schoolhouse Square shopping center, sandwiched between a CBD store and the Dollar Tree. I was greeted cheerfully by a young woman who was attending to another customer at the time. She was prompt and professional and I made an appt on the spot for the following day. I dropped my spaniel off the next day. The same woman I had spoken to the previous day, another groomer and a front desk person were there when I arrived. They were polite and friendly and my dog decided immediately that he liked them very much. I returned approximately an hour later to find them finishing up. This was hands down one of the finest haircuts my wiggly puppy has ever received. He was trimmed exactly how I had requested, his nails were clipped and beveled, his glands were expressed, the hair between the pads in his feet had been trimmed and he had clearly enjoyed himself and made new friends. The facilties were pleasant and clean, the people were lovely, the work was exceptional and the price was very reasonable....
Read moreTook 2 dogs in to be groomed. Was told it would be $90 each. when I came to pick them up the price went up to $240.00. Worst groom ever. Nina’s groomer admitted to not knowing how to do the groom. So that’s why it took her longer. She also admitted to having to cancel her last appointment to finish grooming mine. So therefore she charged me more to make up for her loss of $$. So she charged me more for her lack of experience in grooming. Also the pad on the bottom of one of their foot was sliced open and bleeding. Facility was dirty. The owner knew that I was dissatisfied and said that she would call me back on Monday. She never called me back. But instead had a very RUDE person call me. When I asked to speak to the owner, she said she was too busy to call me back. I asked for her to have her call me when she completed her day….she never called back. Read all the Yelp reviews as well. Save your time and your money and skip this groomer.
