From start to finish working with fire factory and chimney concepts has been an incredible experience. I originally had a chimney company come out to perform a sweep and was then told that my chimney was in such bad condition that I needed a costly PCR treatment. Being in the sales industry myself, and running and ethical practice, I normally also take others at their word. However, given the cost, I wanted to get a second opinion and/or convert to gas insert. My wife and I stopped in the shop and met Cody who let us know that unfortunately if the chimney was in such condition that we would need to treat the chimney regardless of the route that we decided to go, but that he would come out and take a look first and then get us quotes to decide what we wanted to do. Cody ended up being impressed with the condition of our chimney, and let us know we did not need any costly treatment after all. we originally were looking at gas inserts, but due to the size of the room he helped us decide to go with the cheaper gas log set rather than upsell us on a more expensive unit that could make the room too hot. This was quite the opposite experience that we had gotten from the other folks. Installation day came around rather quickly, and Alex and Jerry came out to get the log fire set up and running. Every employee of Chimney Concepts who came to my house was well-informed, hard-working, and extremely courteous. My chimney has been restored and capped. The fireplace insert is beautiful and it warms up my living room very quickly.

The young men who worked on chimney restoration took great pains to make certain that the cement cap dried slowly enough to cure properly. In the end, they re-wrapped it (for the third time) and let it cure from Saturday to Tuesday. Then they returned to finish their work.

Devon and Dylan from the Fire Factory worked inside my home so I got to experience their professionalism firsthand. They both reminded me of the quality young men who worked on the outside of my home on chimney restoration. I regret that I did not jot down their names. My home is 95 years old. Nothing about my original fireplace was level or square. Devon and Dylan took great pains to level out the fireplace insert. Each employee also was careful to diligently clean up the areas where they worked. Even the furnace room is back to its original state. The wiring in the furnace room is unobtrusive and the function of the red painted on-off knobs was explained to me along with the fact that you can turn the gas off at any of the locations where there is a red knob. We had Chimney Concepts install a gas insert into our wood burning fireplace. We realize the challenges these installs pose and are grateful to the courteous and professional attitudes of Cody, Jerry, and Alex (our install team). They approached the install with a can do attitude, especially Cody who went above and beyond what we expected to accomplish this project. Cody's willingness to try to save us money, time and hassle by thinking outside the "fire" box really paid off which we are very grateful for. What an asset he is to the group. They also solved a small side issue related to the existing fireplace for us which we were very concerned about which was outside of the scope of the project.
