Absolutely one of the worst places you can go. I wish there was a no star option. My wife stopped there to pick up hot sauce and cheese for my son who was deploying. She accidentally knocked over 2 bottles of hot sauce. She apologized and stayed were she was, didn't try to walk away didn't try to say she didn't do it. Just stood there... to her surprise she was met by a very displeased lady with her arms in the air and a curled lip. My wife once again apologized and was met once again with a snarl. This led to a very uncomfortable encounter at the check out where my wife was told that they would do her a favor and only make her pay for one bottle. I do want to take this time to say THANK YOU to the gentleman at the checkout that attempted to save some small amount of face for this disgrace of a "cheese store". She didn't knock over a $1,000 chandelier... it was 2 bottles of hot sauce they probably got from a vendor for $2 a piece. Thank you so much for ruining a much needed day off for an extremely hard working mother/ wife that just lost her father and watched her son leave for a year. Word of advise: go take some costumer service classes. We will not be returning to this store and I strongly suggest, unless you are as perfect as God that you will not visit this establishment either. Because if you break something you will be treated...
Read moreNo public restrooms for a store that size (big signs at the door 2/10), and a staff person at the door didn’t say “welcome” but rather kept announcing closing time— in 30 minutes. Not 5 minutes—30 minutes. Save that weirdness for people who won’t leave AFTER you’re closed. -1/10
A lot of rules and just overall seemed unappreciative of the business people are giving them. Like they are ALLOWING us to shop with them. It’s just cheese and candy, calm down. We were all herded to the register like cattle, same staff person yelling out about making 2 lines, standing and pointing at the door on our way out. It was quite a show.
The message was clear—you don’t want to be there and you take customers for granted. Young lady at the register was lovely and polite (10/10), and I felt like she was trying to compensate for the other woman’s rudeness by being kind. I hope she’s ok, and I mean that genuinely.
There are many places in the region that sell that stuff, go where you are treated...
Read moreA cute, cozy store offering a wide selection of unique consumable goods. Options include bulk candies available to buy by the pound (good selection of PEZ and freeze-dried candy is also available), jams/jellies, wine (including local) and beer, smoked meats, smoked fish, and of course, a display case as long as the store is wide of cheeses (including a small selection of imported cheeses). There are cooler bags available (a small size and large size) as well as ice bags available if you are looking to buy refrigerated items and travel for a few hours. Shopping baskets are available, but they do not have shopping carts -- important to note if a sweet toddler is accompanying you and you want to browse. You'll need two people if this is a case: one person able to leisurely browse and another to be on baby-watch duty (as there are many breakables and tempting...
