The MacStack Tavern — Restaurant in Portage Township

Our server was fantastic and all of the other employees were amazing as well. Our waitress brought our drinks and refilled when she noticed anyone’s stuff was empty. Our food was made quickly and brought promptly. It was also hot when it arrived.

I had the fish and chips and they were good, while the rest got the buffalo chicken sliders. My wife, daughter and daughters friend aren’t picky eaters in the slightest. Despite that, they had a really hard time getting passed their first sandwich. Not sure if it was old oil or the breading in general, but it wasn’t very good. The tenders used are very large (which isn’t a bad thing), but they apparently don’t (or at least did not that day) take out the tendons.

Overall, those sliders just weren’t good at all. Although they did look great visually. Outside of that they were very much a 1 star item that day.

I could in no way rate this restaurant a 1 because it wasn’t a terrible experience, but feel a 3 star is a fair assessment from our experience.

Don't pass by. Stop and give'em a try! We visited the area for the first time and decided to try this place. It just opened about a week ago, and I'm sure this will be a great restaurant for this area. I mean, who doesn't love comfort food...AKA MAC & CHEESE! (Rhetorical Lol) Definitely try the Loaded Potato Chips and get drizzle with some ranch dressing, it brings on a complete flavor change! The sandwich was The Buffalo Chicken Mac, how it was served, and then what it looked like when it was put together. The breading is a bit flavorful with spices❤️ The other pics are the Buffalo Mac, Philly Mac, and the Bacon Mushroom Mac with chicken pieces added on. No room for dessert but was told the cheesecake was amazing...maybe next time! 😋 Overall, everything looked and tasted great. You need to add a Takis or Hot Cheetoh Mac, TRUST ME it tastes AMAZING on Mac & Cheese and add some Parmesan and Bacon...just...

Don’t come at me, we really wanted to like this place. We both ordered the pulled pork macaroni cheese. There was a ton of cheese, but that cheese didn’t have a taste. The pork was a very odd color and had mushrooms in it. I don’t understand what pulled pork and mushrooms have to do with each other? We missed that on the menu description. Our service was not the problem , Everyone was very friendly. Our food did come out rather cold and so it was taken back to warm up. I took my coleslaw off because of bacteria and what not ,my husband did not. They both came back piping hot , but then I was a little concerned about his warmed up coleslaw?
