As others have stated bringing your own bags is a must. By the front door on the check out side they do keep a supply of boxes and they do have cloth bags for purchase if you forget yours. That said this place is always like a huge treasure hunt and great deals are to be found around every corner. Sometimes the produce is not the best but if you want to spend a few seconds to pick out the bits that are slightly off you'll come away with good veggies and fruit every time. Usually there is a huge stock of milk, eggs, yogurt and soy or almond alternatives. The yogurt is both inexpensive and plentiful as well with name brands such as dannon and tillamook literally at pennies on the dollar as compared to other mainstream grocers. What most people don't realize about the expiration date on a product is this, that date is the optimum at which said product is best at. The second that date is past it's not magically poison or even remotely bad and a product like yogurt is often times good for a good 2 weeks after this date. Canned food items are always plentiful as are the name brand cereals and coffee/tea selections. I've (in my years of shopping here) had only two off experiences. One was a premium dog food purchase, my fault for not noticing that the bag had been previously opened. And the second was last week when I bought two racks of canned corn labeled at 4 for a dollar that's right a can of premium whole corn for only 0.25 cents so two racks would have been 6 dollars but was mistakenly rung up at 2 for a dollar. Noticed the error when I got home and drove back for a speedy and polite refund. Kudos to Rachel for being so apologetic about it which was nice but not necessary. Usually the canned veggies are priced at 2 for a dollar so I understand fully the mistake. Overall the store is great, the customers can sometimes be aggressive so get used to a little jostling in the produce section and learn to use your cart to your advantage and practice your withering gaze to shuffle them along quickly. If that doesn't work a friendly nudge does the trick as well. Almost forgot the meat selection. Always a great selection whether it's premium grass fed beef burger, whole racks of ribs or even rabbit and pork tenderloin right down to premade burritos, pizzas and fair to middlin' selection of frozen pies and ice cream treats. For those who have a problem with one instance of a confederate flag and your need to ring your hands and rend your hair out by the roots at the "injustice of it all" well you can just shop at your local homogenized soulless food conglomerate and leave the great deals and friendly staff to the rest of us. Result of last shopping trip as compared to local Winco prices. $52.45 spent of which $6.00 was refunded so $46.45 spent on 5 HUGE bags that at similar item prices at Winco came out to $137.86. That my friends is using your dollar wisely to maximize your food...
Read moreBritney Bailey, the store manager, does not have the customer service skills or employee management skills needed to validate her position. She was more concerned with the fact she had never seen me in the store before than with helping an employee verify the price of an item I had previously purchased many times. This is a Discount Food store and often help is needed for price verification. Even after an employee verified they had sold me the product before, for $8, she still kept saying, "Well, I've never seen you in here before." And wanted to charge me $32! I VERIFIED I have never seen her before either, no argument on that. I wasn't trying to trick anyone! I wasn't going to pay a 4x mark up, though. So I did insist on the fact I had bought it more than 7 times for that price. Yet, each time I said I had bought the product previously, she just repeated she had never seen me. She said other things to indicate I was lying about being a repeat customer! And never apologized even after an employee verified they had seen me before. It was insulting, rude, and an unnecessary utterance that deterred from resolving the issue her employee had brought to her attention, the price. She could have just repeated she didn't know the price and couldn't sell them, instead of insulting me repeatedly and suggesting I am lying about buying the product before, and lying about even being in the store. I heard her being rude to an employee as they asked her for help from the register. She acted annoyed and in a hurry, but the store was not busy. Only I had been waiting, and I was not in a hurry. Several other employess have the customer service skills and ability to communicate functionally with their fellow employees to solve problems. I have never seen Britney before, and she will verify that repeatedly. I have also never seen an employee act so annoyed and treat me so rudely! I previously have had good experiences in there, and yes I can be a little irritating at times, without choosing to be. I have to accept that. The other employees were always understanding and endlessly helpful. They treated me with dignity. Britney did not. Since Britney told me she is the manager, I am giving the business one star. I will avoid the store after her repeatedly inferring I am a liar and cheat, even after an employee verified I had bought the product for the price I had communicated. I'm not upset about her not being able to sell me the product I had been in the habit of buying, I am upset she kept insisting she had never seen me before and that I had not bought it before and I was making up the price as well.

Read moreI really enjoy shopping at this store when the inventory is strong, but it can be frustrating when the shelves arenât restocked. It would be extremely helpful if customers had a way to know when new shipments are expectedâsomething as simple as a posted schedule or email update would save a lot of unnecessary trips.
The staff overall are kind and helpfulâthe younger employees are polite, and the women working in the back seem easygoing and efficient. However, one taller employee tends to talk very loudly, which can make the atmosphere less pleasant. On that note, the in-store music can also be quite aggravating.
The store itself is generally clean, but I was confused about the floor buffing being done right at opening time instead of overnight or before hours. This morning it felt like customers were being pushed around the store to make way for the machine, which was both inconvenient and unsafe.
What I appreciate most about this place is the great dealsâespecially on protein bars. Thatâs the main reason I keep coming back. But the negatives often stand out more than the positives, mostly because theyâre issues that seem very easy to fix.
If I could recommend one improvement, it would be to create an email newsletter system where customers can select product categories they care about and get notified when those items are restocked. Building more consistency and a clear identity for the store would make a huge difference in the overall shopping experience.
In short: the store has real potential, and I like what it does well, but I hope management tightens...
