After a long closure due to construction, the neighborhood park is finally open again—and it was well worth the wait! This space is going to be such a great addition to the community. There is so much room to run, play, and gather, and the new amenities really make it feel like a place for everyone.
One of the best features is the full accessibility throughout the park. The playground is wheelchair accessible, and there are plenty of bathrooms, making visits with little ones or older family members so much easier. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into designing an inclusive and welcoming space.
The only drawbacks are the lack of shade—especially important during those hot afternoons—and the absence of a fence around the playgrounds. A fence would make it much more accessible and safer for children who tend to wander or need more secure boundaries.

Read moreTook my 8yr old son here today for the first time. He had tons of fun with all of the equiptment... multiple playgrounds, basketball/tennis courts, skate park and dog area.
There is a splash pad area also; open in June!
Lots of restrooms in the park although only the 3-4 Portland Loo's were open today, not the main restroom building near the playground... that might be a weekend thing...
My son asked if we could plan his next Bday party here and it would be great for that, although the covered picnic areas are next to the covered basketball court which is kind of far from the playground area... (line of sight to the playground area from this point is dim...) The tables within the playground area don't have much shade from sun so not sure when the time comes what area we'll choose... Also, didnt see any grill set-ups at the park so anyone wanting to cook at the park would need to bring their own BBQ or other cooking equiptment...

Read moreThe upgrades are many and wonderful! Skatepark: mellow big bowl with street parts as well. Whole thing is fenced for safety. Dog park: fenced, one for larger, one for smaller dogs, no shade in the dog park though...dogs will need to be leashed and moved to shade during hot summer days. Bathrooms : near playground there is a bathroom building and stand-alones by parking lot Parking lot: several spota with street parkint along one side of street. Come early on weekends for a spot Playground : fabulous! Three separate parks, safety squishy padded ground, fun rope structures to climb, spin things, accessible slides Field : soccer area and large covered areas with benches on opposite side of field. Fitness Track : a variety of items to work out on or with.
