Lily Rose Gardens — Local services in Portland

This is probably the cutest place ever.

I’ve shopped at every little garden place from Manchester to Durham, and now that I made the choice to stop right here in my hometown I don’t think I’ll be traveling anymore :)

Got myself a huge bag of bird food, a bird seed bell, and two suet cakes for 20 bucks. But it wasn’t the fairly priced bird stuff that had me- it was the charming ladies inside.

Decent variety of plants. Some were very happy and healthy (like the one I picked up), and some weren't in the best shape and looked like they could use some serious TLC… a good watering, some pruning, a bit of weeding, etc. That being said, it really has been hotter than hell for the last few weeks, so maybe that has something to do with their current condition; this is the first time I’ve ever been here, so maybe I just came during a rough patch. Since I returned to Connecticut six years ago, is the first time that I feel little uneasy in the way that someone treated me in a store. I went to this store because every time that I was driving by I saw this place almost empty in comparison with the next garden store. Almost right way understood why.
