The Green Grocer — Local services in Portsmouth

This is my FAVORITE grocery store of ALL time. No other store is this well stocked, and in such a compact, immaculate space, with all of my absolute favorite, healthy foods, in impeccably organized aisles, with everything so easy to find!

I absolutely love the two-level, narrow carriages as well. Far easier to push than full size ones. Such a novel idea and i am surprised that other stores have not followed suit. The bulk section and the produce section is a dream. I've had some of the best fruits and veggies from this store... the most delicious ever actually.

I also REALLY appreciate every single staff member that I've interacted with -- they're always genuinely friendly and helpful.

Also, this store always smells amazing...not sure what their secret is, but keep it up!

Great little hideaway location in Portsmouth RI, this market has a 'surprisingly large' variety of healthful based foods and supplements. GREAT for quick stop on the way to the beach OR shopping for the week.

Friendly, helpful staff and genuine willingness to help you find the product(s) you're looking for - which is sorely lacking in the bigger box health food stores today. The store is spacious, reasonably well laid out and I've never experienced a congested shopping experience.

If you're trekking to Newport, stop by for a freshly made sandwich, fresh fruit, your favorite health drink, or even pick up some aloe or natural sunscreen.

Was just visiting the area- but very impressed by the grocery store. Had excellent pre made sandwiches on whole wheat , as well as good bread and fixings if you wanted to make your own! Self serve soup was excellent as well- very healthy with lots of veggies, which were very welcomed after eating lots of fried seafood on this trip. Lots of organic and unprocessed food options- which can sometimes be harder to find in smaller towns. Produce was yummy! All employees were very impressive- very kind and helpful.
