Fieldstones — Restaurant in Portsmouth

Went here with my parents on our last day of our Newport, RI vacation on Wednesday July 17th 2024. We were greeted right away, and sat at a table. The dining room had both booths and tables, but it was actually busy and all the booths were taken. all good though. Our server greeted us right away, and started with drinks: I got the blood orange margerita, and my dad got an expresso martini. Expresso martini's are actually a big thing now, as the restaurant i work at home has one too. it was actually pretty good. so was my drink. We also all started with waters as well. For appetizer, we got fried calamari, and the butternut squash ravioli appetizer. Loved the fried calamari, and i thought the butternut squash ravioli was very cheesy. Didn't like that, but my mom did! Also was expecting it to be filled with butternut squash and didn't taste it as much. For entrees, i ordered the chicken marsala, my mom ordered the ribs with broccoli, and my dad ordered chicken parmigiano. Kudos to this place for having a good menu of both seafood and non seafood options. there was even shepard's pie on the menu, that i wanted to try. Anyways, we enjoyed our food! We paid via credit card and left a cash tip. would come here again if we ever are in...

Currently vacationing in RI and stumbled upon this place to eat. Excellent service, waitress always had our waters filled even while the place was quite busy, took our order promptly, and managed to talk us into a dessert that was really quite a nice end to the evening. Food was very good, 2 people in my party got the chicken pot pie, it was exquisite. Myself and one other member each got a burger, it was done just as we asked and the toppings were all fresh and delicious.The Firework wrap was good with a nice buffalo sauce on the chicken. The ceasar salad was good aswell.The atmosphere was casual (I personally prefer it that way) but the service did not lack one bit and was quite prompt. Everything was clean and well mantained. And to top off a 5 star review the food we had was among some of the best I have had this week. Also the price was quite affordable (the single least expensave meal we ate this week and yet the second best!!!). Was a wonderful meal over all, would absolutely eat there again! :D

P.S. I put $20-30 below but would like to state that the the average was 22$ a person counting the dessert. Great food for a Great...

I recently visited your restaurant with my family, hoping to enjoy a pleasant dining experience with good food. Unfortunately, to our disappointment, the food lacked flavor, and the service was unsatisfactory. The waiter made several mistakes with our order, and the prices were unreasonably high for the quality of food provided. Frankly, I could have received better quality at a franchise restaurant for a much more reasonable price. Due to the poor service and disappointing food, I did not feel that a tip was deserved, and therefore I left none. After leaving the restaurant, my family and I went across the street for ice cream. To my shock, two of your waiters—one of them named Lehya—approached us outside regarding the tip. This was not only unprofessional but also inappropriate, especially since nowhere in the restaurant was it stated that gratuity was mandatory. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing. The combination of overpriced, poor-quality food and unprofessional service left my family and me dissatisfied. I hope management addresses these issues promptly to prevent similar incidents from happening...
