The Shop is one of those YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR places. Kevin is a very nice guy and does not over charge people but the people he employs doesn’t know what they are doing. I was told I needed new breaks and my dad said to call Kevin. Took my car in the next day and $190 later I had new breaks. I was shocked it was so cheap. Less than a week later my breaks were grinding. Went back and they didn’t even look at them. They said there was a clip that was bent. So they bent it back and said I was good to go. 2 days later, breaks were finding again. I went back and same thing. The next day they were grinding again so I went back and had a mechanic ride with me so he would hear it. He said I needed new rotors. $140 later I had new rotors. The next day my breaks were grinding again. I went back and had them replace the break pads under warranty. A few days later my breaks were grinding again. So I ended up going to another place that is ASE certified. $450 later they tell me that The Shop put my break pads on upside down. That was the problem the entire time. I like Kevin but he really needs to look at the people he hires before he hires them. Just because they can work on cars doesn’t mean they know what they are doing. I won’t use the shop again. I’ll pay the extra money to go to a certified shop and not have to deal with...
Read moreIf I could give this place, zero stars I would. Kevin agreed to rebuild my transmission, and I paid him into payments. They offered a year warranty. The very same week I got it out of the shop. I went to Fort Smith and the transmission was stalling in the middle of a turning lane with my children in the car. I took it back for the warranty work. They said it was ready. It was still doing the same thing as the first time I picked it up so I took it back for the third time when I went in to pick up my vehicle and get my keys from the front desk. There was a receipt there for $989 for them, replacing the timing chain kit, I was never informed about a problem with the timing chain or asked if I wanted them to replace that and charge me the $989, so I told him it was supposed to only be warranty work Kevin says “ Oh, don’t worry about it. I’ll take care of it. It must’ve been miscommunication. (when in reality, I believe he was just trying to charge me another $989.) just a few months later I was having an issue and I went to a different shop. They informed me that it was my timing chain! (so they tried to charge me for fixing the timing chain kit and never even did that work!) I’m just glad I didn’t pay them that $989 they tried to charge me. I wouldn’t take a lawnmower in there for...
Read moreThese guys really saved me. I was in Poteau on business, in from Moore. As I tried to start my car to make the three-hour drive home, my car wouldn't start and started throwing a check engine code. I used my GEICO roadside assistance coverage to get a tow to the nearest Autozone so I could replace the faulty part myself. The two truck driver suggested that I have him tow me to The Shop instead. I was leery, but I agreed because he reassured me that these guys would likely get me going for not too much money and would accommodate my situation even though they were a few minutes from closing.
These guys were the nicest, coolest guys. They identified the faulty camshaft position sensor, had a replacement delivered, and had me on the road within an hour. Their charge to do this was shockingly reasonable.
I wish there were more shops like this in the world. They could easily have fleeced me in that situation because essentially every shop in town closed at 5pm and wouldn't reopen until Monday (Christmas eve) or Wednesday (the day after Christmas) and that would have put me in a real bind. But they didn't do that. They took care of me, and I'm very thankful.
Thanks...
