I agree with Meg. New owners same stance as the old ones.
"With deep disappointment Poulsbo for All is announcing that Valley Nursery has decided not to support Pride in Poulsbo this year. We’ve been in direct discussion with Valley’s new owner, Justin Robbins, son-in-law of former owner Brad Watts (who pitched a 5 alarm fit two years ago when the City of Poulsbo formally recognized Pride for the first time).
Justin reached out about their damaged community relations and we saw a chance to start a fresh chapter. We even cautiously hoped we could kick off Pride with a reconciliation that so many have longed for over the past two years.
Justin says, however, that while he’s of a different mind than the former owner and would like to find ways to back the LGBTQ community, he will not make a public statement of support. Given the ever-growing political cruelties targeting not just queer people, but BIPOC, immigrants, the disabled, the poor, seniors, veterans, women, and non-“Christians”, it’s critical for allies to be loud and proud with their support. Closet allyship is NOT allyship.
As we stood with Justin last week, deep in conversation in the middle of the nursery, it was impossible not to see the phenomenal diversity of plants surrounding us. That’s the beauty of Nature! Wanting everything one way, one color, one flavor is what’s unnatural. "

Ok, onward to this family-owned, insanely gorgeous nursery. Two hours there, and I cannot do this place justice!
This gorgeous nursery offers acres of fruit trees, plants familiar and exotic, shrubs like no other, a wide variety of veggie starters, flowers, and more flowers, herbs, garden supplies, and décor; can't forget a cute little country store with its own wonders!
The employees here are outstanding and knowledgeable, and everything there looked well cared for and healthy!
If you can't find what you are looking for, call or come back, they continuously replenish items. Also, the only time they are closed (aside from at night) is during Christmas time. This brings me to say Halloween; they bring in pumpkins and more and a selection of Christmas trees at Christmas time! This place is definitely a gardener's paradise!
So, would I recommend this pretty-as-a-picture nursery? Most definitely so!

Read moreWe used Valley Nursery for our wedding flowers and we're quite pleased. Kathy was easy to work with, open to all our ideas and worked hard asking questions to try to understand what we wanted for wedding flowers. We were very pleased with their prices compared to other local wedding flower providers (by nearly half)--probably in part made possible by renting some potted plants rather than purchasing them outright. She made recommendations as to what would hold up best and fit our vision. Very informal; no signed contract--just a detailed written bid and verbal agreement. They followed through with no problems.
Our bouquets, boutonnières, ceremony decor and table centerpieces were just as envisioned. The corsages and flower girl wreaths were just as described but seemed a tad generic. Kathy also made sure there was a small variety of flowers to choose from for the bride's hair and humored us by making a wreath for our dog's collar.
They stealthy came to set up and deliver flowers as well as pick up the arbor and other rented items with no problems.
Was overall very happy...
