I grew up going to Taco Time, and it is what my family has always referred to as 'Americanized Mexican food,' so my review might not be applicable to everyone, but that being said, it is a very unique and delicious Mexican food fast food franchise, and this location has continued to serve with excellent quality after my twenty four years of life, going there fairly often, with few exceptions.
The atmosphere is perfectly lovely, I think it's usually quiet in there, I don't remember ever seeing the indoor seating be too busy or crowded. I remember it being clean and it has been there for so long, it feels like it has a local connection at this point, to me anyway.
I want to give a special shoutout to one particular employee, or they might've been promoted to manager or something like that by this point, I wouldn't be surprised, it's been a few years since we first noticed this employee's excellent service. Nate, if you or your employer is reading this, I just want to thank Nate for what they do, it's always wonderful getting Nate as our server, not only do they bring a very positive and upbeat personality and sales experience to what would otherwise be.. a Fast Food Drive-Thru experience, but I will also mention one little touch Nate does which I especially like, is checking the order before handing it to us. I never knew how much I would appreciate this, but having them do so, feels like an added level of attention that adds to guest experience, and it's a feature I kinda wish would become regular of any employee, at any Drive-Thru, but one can dream ahaha 😅

My tortilla was shredded in my tacos, I did not receive the correct item for one meal, same I did not my side of tator tors that came with one of the meals at all. When I went back in and explain the problem, the lady who took my order argued with the employee whom I spoke with about the issue and was very rude towards myself as well. I was very polite as I get it they were busy and I believe the one who took my order was new and got the meal confused with another person. I had started at one point I ordered the specific meal as it was for my 1 year old and the new employee then told me I needed to get her the smaller meal because it is smaller. I told her no it’s fine, I would like the larger one, as I know she will eat the whole thing no problem and she tried to argue again and then rolled her eyes at me. Read moreCame through this franchise a few nights ago, only to find not an employee, but a manager of all people named John who was not wearing the recommended type of mask from the CDC and ordered by the state governor via mask mandate A YEAR later into the pandemic!
Called corporate to report the issue, and they said they would "get back to me" after they said they do require all franchise to enforce the mask mandates.
Called the store directly, and the day manager, Kathy, said she doesn't make the decisions on that, but gave me the number to her Director of Operations, Josi Navarro, who can't be reached either.
Why do the owners and corporate not care about their employees health or the customers health? It is too far into this pandemic to not know what is an effective form for face coverings and what is not! I WILL NOT eat here again until some takes responsibility and fixes theses issues and I encourage every else to do the same. This is inexcusable behavior.
